I wouldn't bother playing a lottery every week...
Not me. I play whenever. I would take any of the jackpot sizes. And like the others have said, it doesn't make it to $250 million that often, so that isn't how all the jackpots are won.

Just wait until the jackpot reaches over $250 million. Then buy 1 ticket. That is how all the jackpots are won.

Which scenario would you prefer??
Here's a method of play that would guarantee you winning either the MM or PB jackpots....buy 177 million tickets!!! Cover all possible number combinations. Otherwise, just buy a dollar or 10 dollars worth of QPs and hope for the best.

Wow, this is rare.
It's not that unusual for MM to reach 100 million. On average they have to sell 176 million tickets for each winner, and 176 milliontickets generates about $90 million (annuity value). A jackpot of 100 million following one that's well over 200 is only unusual because it doesn't get well past 200 very often. OTOH, almost exactly two year ago there were back to back jackpots of $267 million and $265 million.

Wow, this is rare.
Now the MM jackpot is 115 millions. The actual amount of winning will be 53.4 millions after tax. Well, this doesn't happen often. I mean, after a big jackpot, normally there are a few minor jackpots before the amount hits 100 mil. But this time it just goest straight to 115 mil. I wonder if there;s gonna be another major jackpot in history.

Superstitions?
I just know that the games I win on are the smaller ones. Jackpots like PB or MM have such high odds, but I have still won in the hundreds in those games. I wish they would shut up though. But once a clerk gave me a tip about the raffle game and said that winners were going to be in the southern part of the state mostly, definitely not in the pan handle and he was right!

prediction board
I do not know how to predict numbers, just when the big jackpots will be won. For instance, I knew this PB would be the max rollover before another rollover(and I am not winning it---LOL. So, I have learned to wait 'til the BWB ((Big Winning Bug)) bites me . The bug is about extinct, but is still around I see.

What's the cut off point for you?
I only play two jackpot games,Powerball Mega Millions. One starts at $12,000,000 the other starts at $15,000,000.I play even when the jackpots are low.I can live better with the tax money than I am now.Of course I'd prefer to hit a jackpot that is much bigger, but for an investment of a only a dollor or two,12 or 15 million ain't bad.

winning the powerball or megamillions
I thought the question was about Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots, not pick 5,in which case a winner would have enough money to pay back any money owed to anyone for any reason and still have millions left over to enjoy.

Lottery Jackpot
I have never won a jackpot. Not with a system or with anything else. There are a few members who have won jackpots here, but they rarely post or don't post at all anymore.
