QUINTO (Washington state)
Washington state QUINTO began in 1990. It's played like other pick-5 games with one major exception: players choose five CARDS from the 52-card standard playing deck instead of numbers from 1-through-X (quick picks of course available.) One play for $1; first prize is an ALL-CASH jackpot. Similar games have been failures; New Jersey 5-Card Lotto actually preceded QUINTO; the Hoosier Lottery started such a game a couple years ago. Pennsylvania had a 5/26 Hearts Diamonds that was QUICK-PICK only

How do you select your numbers??
Lotto Analyst,Why do you say that people who buy quick picks just amaze you. After all, most of the lotto winners chose quick picks. QPs have just an equal chance as a natural pick. I've matched 5/6 two times playing Pick 6 NJ Lotto using QPs. In MM, I've won $150.My selections are always QPs.

Maryland Lotto 1/4/2003
Yawn, this is getting too easy. My Quick Pick put me in the money with a 4/6 match. A little fine tuning and some prayer for good measure, and I'll work on the 5/6 and 6/6 match. 12-21-22-35-43-46 <-------Quick Pick

Question about quick picks
This is from the minnesota state lottery website.Q: How are quick-pick tickets generated for games like Powerball? Is it in the local store terminal or a host computer? How many host computers are there?A: The quick-pick algorithm resides in the store's terminal. Each time it is seeded with several randomizer keys based on time and previous terminal activity. What exactly is previous terminal activity ?

Quick Picks versus Own Numbers
Quick pick are numbers placed in blocks and are looped throughout the state or the lottery in question.I am very suspicious when a persons win comes off a quick-pick ( Not saying it couldn't or shouldn't happen ) .Regardless, like any lottery ticket, you will have bought the combo but you can be assured the chances are much lower being a single winner.Quick-picks are buffers for keeping those 1000 and 1,10000 and 1 and 120,000,000 and 1 odds in the lottery's favor. lottoscorp

MegaMillions/Powerball tickets
When I purchase a $5 ticket for MegaMillions, Powerball, or even the Lotto, a clerk often asks if I want the quick pick numbers on one ticket or separate tickets. Is it better to have each line on a separate ticket? Are there any other interesting trivia for these games, i.e. buy early or late, average amount a person spends on their ticket, quick pick or chosen numbers, etc. for those people who do win? I just find this kind of info interesting for those people who win the millions.

quick pick vs selected numbers
I was wondering what the percentages of winners were who won the big jackpots with quick picks vs those who selected their own numbers. Does anyone happen to know this? Just curious.....thanks.

Powerball PowerPicks for June 29
ok yeah im going to throw down 200 beans for those picks. those picks really are as good as a quick pick unless you beat the odds and the drawwed numbers fall into those number and still you must beat the odds and match all 6 to win. 200 lines out of 80,000,000 is still INCREDIBLE ODDS against you. 200 of your lines have the same chance as 200 of my quick pick lines.

repetitions by position is not the same as repetitions by all positions of a lottery.
The pick 3 version did everything but pick a winner... I have not tried any actual play on the pick 5 version yet. I did also make a version that can pick 6, such as a 6/49 game. Going to try that one tonight on the PA Match 6. The play is the same idea, generate one pick by choosing the most frequent followers of the last draw (sorted order) from each column, then use that pick as the seed, which will choose the most frequent followers from the history to appear in the same draws as each se
