BIGGAME MAGAMILLIONS PICKS FOR 05/28/02
I have no idea, I don't play the Pick3/4 games, two draws a day requires too much time to update files. I usually play SuperLotoPlus and the BigGame when the jackpot is right. I played Buckeye5 a couple of times this month because of the free tickets promotions. Good luck to you.RJOh

Gail Howard Software?
I've used wheeling systems from many sources and they all do what they guarantee, the only trick is to guarantee a win of any type, all of the winning numbers must be included in the wheel. Most all of the different software packages contain similar wheels. I use LotoPro 2000 which has a good selection of wheeling systems and I have a couple of books by Robert Serotic which contains hundreds of wheels. Picking the winning numbers for your wheel is hard to do.RJOh

Ohio 6/49 Lotto increases by just 2 million (11m-13m)
When Ohio game was a 6/47 lotto, they paid $3 for matching 3. When it became 6/49 game they drop the $3 prize and entered the match 3 tickets in a monthly drawing for $15k to $300k and then when the game changed to 6/49+ they stopped paying for match 3 all together. I assume these changes were made so the state would make more money. I don't see the state going back to the old game unless ticket sales really go down.RJOh

Ohio 6/49 Lotto increases by just 2 million (11m-13m)
The players Ohio was trying to attract were the ones that headed out of state when the Biggame and Powerball had jackpots of 60M or more. Until MegaMillions have that size jackpot, the 649plus game is going to continue to do sell. I'm sure the MM game is going to have some big jackpots, but when MM's jackpot is 11M with odds of 1:175M and the 649+'s jackpot is 13M with odds of 1:14M, which one are you going to play? Even the cash-value looks better.RJOh

Notice to Ohio 6/49 players:
RJOh: You have a point. Actually, Ohio 6/49 players should seriously consider gradually switching to Mega Millions because of the fairer cash value percentage and the much better chance of winning SOMETHING. As for the Ohio 6/49 game itself, I think it should be changed to an ALL-CASH game with 48 numbers and a $3 prize for 3 numbers (no more bonus ball).

Notice to Ohio 6/49 players:
I assume you think the winner of the OhioSuperLotoPlus should take the annunity, but I personally think for the older winners, the cash option may be better. It should be noted that while the payout is better for the MagaMillion (1:43) to SuperLotoPlus (1:451), the odds of winning the SuperLotoPlus jackpot is almost 10 times better. Ohioians have many choices when choosing to play the lottery and a responsible player will know all his options before buying a ticket. RJOh

TODD-Re: MEGA
The MagaMillion is 12M and the Ohio649Plus is 11M. Even is their jackpots were the same their cash values would be different because their annunities are different, one is over a 25yrs period and the other is over a 30yrs period. If the annunity was for 35yrs, the cash value would be even less.RJOh

My Calc for Welfare Shift form Players to Corp for BGMM 2nd
I don't know how you think the state lotteries should work, but in Ohio it is not meant to be one to one (fair gambling), it is used to add money to the state's general fund. Lottery players play the lottery knowing that half of the money goes to the state. If you want a one for one bet, gamble a dollar with your buddy.RJOh

Message to Ohio Lottery players
Some times ago I predicted on this board that Ohio would not get Powerball because Indiana,Kentucky and West Virgina had Powerball and depended on Ohio for 10 to 15 percent of their sales. When Pennsylvania gets the Powerball, many Ohioans will be within one hour of a Powerball agent and hopefully when the MagaMillion jackpot is big, many of the players from those states will be coming to Ohio to play.RJOh

Message to Ohio Lottery players
People in Ohio know math too, but all that math doesn't mean anything unless you win, and if you are lucky enough to win, you don't care about the math. I've never hear a jackpot winner say he got cheated, and if he did, I don't think any of the losers would care.RJOh
