Frustrated
I have been playing the same 5 digits for bonus match 5 since the game started, and same 6 digits for mega and the multi match and or lotto or powerball. I have won some small prizes but no jackpots.
The only way i have came or did any better with my picks was to wheel them with other digits. Still no jackpots won. Yet!
I have kicked myself a few times for not playing one digit up or one down. I agree with Coin Toss you could play your favorite picks forever and never win the jackpot, or it

Pot Size Prediction?
Anyone with sense will always weigh the risk against the reward. You're not risking much with a $1 lottery ticket, but wouldn't you prefer to risk it on a bigger reward? If you had the choice to buy a $1 ticket for a game with a $3 million prize or a $1 ticket for a game with a $5 million dollar prize which would you choose if both games had the same odds?
Now suppose the choice was to get one ticket for both games or two tickets for the one with the bigger prize. Which would you choose? Mayb

Pot Size Prediction?
Lots of people only play the lotteries when their jackpots are large. If you're only going to play a few times, why play when the jackpota are small? Like you say, the odds of winning the jackpot are the same regardless of its size.

Pot Size Prediction?
I will take/play EVEN the small jackpots. But you are right the NY Lotto moves up very slowly when it is low such as 3 mil. But seems to jump up once it reachs 20mil or so.

California looks to British lottery model
If they are really looking than look at the fact that in the UK lottery jackpots are paid in tax-free cash. Otherwise Vegas has a better dollar spent vs. post tax dollar won ratio.

Powerball Won Again?!?!
Looks like Powerball is going to set a record fifteen jackpots awarded this year, if not more. Mega Millions' record is also fifteen and that was set just last year.

Colorado chalks up its first Powerball winner
You need to find out if all of those wins were QP or selection? Recently someone played the most frequent Lotto numbers and had 4+1. If these were mostly QP then it must be that a lot of people are playing a lot more after the recent big jackpots or people somehow have more $ to play. Anyway this shows that there IS plenty of interest in Powerball and Mega Millions at least now. I HOPE some of those wins were selections, that would give ME hope.
