The cash value is $165 million. It will probably be over $200 million for next Friday if it is not won Tuesday. The annuity will be over $300 million. Considering only 68 million tickets were sold for last night's draw, it's very realistic to expect the jackpot to roll again Tuesday.

I'm 57 and if I ever win I'm going annuity-and make a will so my kids get the rest when I die. I think cash value is a bad choice especailly the way the economy is right now.

No annuity for me thanks but it'll be interesting to see where he's at in five years to see if he's gone even further into a lottery winner stereotype or not... I said it months and months ago that the crossing over would benefit Powerball more than it would MM since Powerball stood to gain access to many states with large populations compared to PB's availability in mostly smaller populated states. $300,000,000 jackpots weren't that common before the states started cross selling tickets for both multi-state games, but now if they do happen they won't need to roll over as often. Now that the interests an annuity can earn being lower, the cash value amounts have to be a lot more for that size jackpot which increases the chances that it will be won before reaching that size.
