I'd like to know why MM takes so long. I haven't seen a result before 2 AM (eastern) for a very long time, even for small jackpots. I can't see any reason why each state couldn't have an answer in 30 minutes. Among other things, the data could be split into separate databases for each powerball, so they would be searching through no more than perhaps 5% of the total records, which one would hope have already been sorted numerically.

that would be an amazing story to win both jackpots and you only spent $2 to win it. just winning one jackpot is lucky enough but to win both even if you spent a grand to win them is still going to be one of the biggest lottery stories ever. i have spent more than that and my states are georgia for the megamillions tonight and kentucky and tennessee for the powerball wednesday.

Wish I lived close enough to a MM state that I could play both. Especially at times like these when both jackpots are so high. But the closest is about a 5 to 6 hour drive, one way. Just can't justify that trip.

some people will say it sounds greedy to want to win both but i am entered in the megamillions friday and the powerball saturday. i dont know the odds of not only winning both in your lifetime but to actually win them on consecutive days im anxious to read some of the other responses because i only divide the numbers the lottery gives as possible combinations. im sure others on this site will have more in depth replies to explain the probability of winning both jackpots back 2 back

i would stop playing because i would feel greedy if i kept playing every drawing but i would get back in when it go really high. hopefully ill be enjoying my money so much that i wont care or pay attention to the lottery jackpots anymore.

MegaMillions jackpot is at $44M(Cash $25M) tonight, but I'm planning to buy $20 worth of tickets anyway. I figure if I win the $44M tonight there's nothing stopping me from playing again if I want to win more. There's not wrong with winning $300M by winning several smaller jackpots.
