Same here @ saving money. I mostly just play one number every draw. When it gets high I buy an extra ticket or two. So in the long run I'm still saving. I'm no longer buying twenty dollars or more when the jackpot gets high. With this new game. I might get bored and buy a ticket on a Thursday or Sunday. But it's gonna be on a rare occasion. Mabye I will budget in for two tickets a month or something like that. I dunno I really haven't looked into the game. I'll figure something out. But anyways.

Darn, I knew it was too good to be true! On the bright side, they weren't as stupid as I thought. They actually had a fund set aside for this promotion, because they knew that the rule change would cost the lottery money. It's like an advertising budget.

Haven't bought a MM ticket since December. $5 is half my weekly budget. If PB did go to $5 that would be it for me. Even now I don't play PB every week. Whenever TX Lotto is won, I'll play PB more because at my age (old) even $1 million would do me fine.

If I won lots of money, I would be happy to pay my fair share of taxes. Everyone needs to pay their fair share. Unfortunately the tax code has gotten less fair over time, with carve-outs and deductions for favored groups making things a mess. Making one rich person even richer at the expense of everyone else makes zero sense.
