Former Texas Lottery Director Gary Grief indicted on charge related to $95M Lotto Texas jackpot
IIRC he helped set them up with their own terminals so they could generate more tickets than if they had to rely on regular retailers. i remember one of the lottery courier services doing something like that, and obviously they got help from the texas lottery to set up these print shops. and i believe the bulk buy groups used one of these lottery courier services. but that doesn't equate to gary grief directly helping the bulk buy group. the lottery courier services made their services avai

Lotto Texas $83.5 million jackpot winner says she was denied payout
ALL courier purchases within the Texas are made by people located within the state. That's in the story. Why did she use a courier? Maybe she didn't want to go to the store, or couldn't for some reason. Who cares why? Lots of people use the courier services, so I would assume they all have a preference. There is no suspicion that the ticket was lost. Quite the opposite. The fact that she tried to claim it would imply that she has possession of the ticket.

Texas Lottery says NJ group tried to buy another Lotto Texas jackpot
I appreciate that you are earnest about this, but it is not correct to say that banning courier services has any impact on buying groups whatsoever. That was made very clear in an earlier story we published, in which we outlined how a buying group purchased a Virginia Lottery jackpot without any courier services operating in the state at all. The worst mistake is to bluntly apply bans and such. This entire thing required an exact scalpel to fix the issue of purchasing groups, not the sledgeh

$83.5 million Lotto Texas winner sues Texas Lottery for unpaid jackpot
Should the TLC be compelled to pay Jane Doe the $83 million prize, I see no reasons why the rest of the players who participated in the run of the game that resulted in the prize to Jane Doe not sue the TLC in a class action lawsuit, for possibly breach of implied contracts, equal protections of the law or other laws because the TLC had allowed by oversight of a loophole in the Lottery-Retailers relationship and/or contractual business agreements and arrangements to breach the players' rights to
