It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
What would have sales been, had the ticket prices remained at $2 over the last 11 1/2 months ?
Would there have been more/less than 6 jackpot winners since the restart at $50 million ?
Would the jackpots have reached $1 Billion + just one time at the $2 price, instead of taking 40 draws to reach $980 Million(7/01 - 11/14/25) ? ( 4 months 13 days )

Australian man deletes email from lottery about $50 million Powerball jackpot win
I can't blame him for deleting it, I would have done the same thing. I still remember the very first spam email I ever received, informing me that I'd won the lottery. It might have been more convincing if I hadn't won two different multi-million dollar jackpots that morning.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Jackpots actually decreased instead of went up after the price hike. However I must note the secondary prizes are more. A 10 million dollar secondary prize hit for the first time on March 13, 2026.

It looks as if the $5.00 MM ticket is doing poorly.
Who said I hated anybody here? You jump to many conclusions. Preach your 'a nickels worth of a jackpot for five bucks' nonsense to those who have won MM jackpots. I am surprised that you said it's fun to throw away money. I'm not the one with the twisted mind.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think what winoneday meant was that it was bad luck for the house. In the long run, the average jackpot won will equal the expected value. In a game like this, a drawing every few days with odds of 1 in 300 million, the long run could be many years.
In a short period of time, the players can be lucky which means the house (MUSL) is unlucky.
Unlike other games like pick 3 or any table game or slot machine in a casino, where more jackpots are good for business because the long run for th

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
The pool is going to wait until one of the jackpots gets much larger. We start playing when the jackpot is at least $150 million cash. It makes a difference since the plan is to split the jackpot many ways.

Seminole Coconut Creek Casino
Anyone here go to this casino. I love it. I hit 5 jackpots last year on 2 to 3 bets.

Washington state getting ready to impose huge taxes on lottery jackpots
Just a heads-up to Washington state players: You may go from zero taxes on lottery wins to 9.9% state tax on jackpot wins. This is among the largest state taxes in the country.
The Washington state senate passed legislation in the past couple of days to create a new state tax on millionaires , which means lottery jackpot winners.
The bill now goes to the state House, and then after that to the governor to sign.
What a tragedy. If lower income residents of the state think they're safe

29 co-workers split $1 million Powerball lottery prize in New York
Yes, they will refuse to work overtime, take long lunches not caring if they are docked 15 minutes, start to criticize their supervisors or continue to. All they will be thinking about is playing more lotteries, checking jackpots and results and generally becoming disinterested in their reason for being at work.

Arkansas lottery winner of $1.8 billion Powerball jackpot comes forward
Yes, it seems like as these billion dollar jackpots become more frequent, people start to forget which state won the jackpot. This seems to be more true if an unusual state wins like Arkansas. A lot of naysayers are always griping when California wins a lot, not knowing that state, has more lottery vending machines in more places than any other state in the US.
