Big Game Picks for 6/29/2001
No, I haven't heard anything new on Ohio joining The Big Game. My guess is that they'll join some sort of multi-state game, but if it's The Big Game, it could take a while longer. That's because The Big Game is set up as a consortium and is run jointly by the seven states. Guessing again, I would say that arrangement is somewhat more complex to modify than the Powerball lottery, which is run by a separate organization.-Todd

It was a massive investment by the states, when they attempted to create a game to satisfy all the people who always complain that they don't want just one winner of a big multi-state jackpot. People say they want a multi-state game that creates many winners but now

Multi-State Game Free Ticket Promotions.
New York is offering a buy $5 worth of Mega Millions tickets, get an additional $1 ticket for free. That increases the chances that the jackpot will be won in New York. I'm guessing the lottery thought so since they did give the green light for the promotion, and if the jackpot win is in New York, they get the state taxes on it. My question is if one state (participating in a multi-state game) offers a promotion on the game in which a free ticket is involved, should all states participating in t

Lotto Georgia vs Lotto South
Also proves a high matrix multi state lotto game does not work in Kentucky: REPORT OF THE AUDIT OF THE KENTUCKY LOTTERY CORPORATIONhttp://www.kylottery.com/annual_report/2005-2004KYLotteryaudit.pdfIn September 2001, the KLC introduced Lotto South as a replacement game for Lotto Kentucky.
