Well, professional writers have been trained to NEVER accept supplied/stated figures as accurate. The writer (or their proofer/facts checker) is supposed to check/research each sentence BEFORE an article goes to press.

LOL You are funny. i understand that. Yep Who wants the publicity of holding that big a**ed fat lottery check. All that money is gonna bring all kinds of trouble if people know what you got. Especially if you know too many people know you. Get outta dodge ! But that's not what the article was about. Years ago when the big jackpot lotteries were just starting out, there were hardly any black winners of the huge jackpots. That left a lot of frustrated players back then and it begged the question.

Did a little more research on the MMC game show. Some of the tidbits you can find online. In a USA Today story, one state lottery director is calling it a national premium product that was a result of the MUSL agreement between states to cross-sell MegaMillions and Powerball tickets. That's an interesting characterization, in the sense that the participating lotteries appear to be targeting a certain consumer.
