Lottery Numbers Aren't Meant To Be Random
I'm seeing sermons on LP by certain posters preaching that lottery numbers are random. They believe these numbers are ran like a slot machine with the numbers being produced by a computer-based RNG.
And they believe we, as players, won't ever be able to predict the next numbers unless we know the seed value and the formula, ...... the harvesting, the gathering, the purging.....
So, I took the initiative to research the game I play: Lotto Texas. And I learned its ran by a mechanical

Iowa Lottery blames "human reporting error" for posting incorrect Powerball results
Saving your lotto receipts and scratcher cards for a year is also good for tax purposes. If you itemize your deductions and want to successfully defend against an IRS audit, then it makes sense to save them for a year.
Saving them for a year is also useful for 2nd chance online entry every quarter year or so, if your State has that lotto incentive.
_______
Concerning the story: Double human redundancy was not good enough. I recommend triple redundancy, with the 3rd being computer aut

Pre-Scams Posted Again
For those not familiar with what pre-draws are, which I call pre-scams , this is when they test the machines before showing what they want you to see. They stopped posting them for a couple of months and not sure why. If everything is audited during the draw, they should be posted DAILY, after each draw like Texas does.
In any case, it can be cumbersome to format it correctly, so here are the last 2 mos that were Missing until recently. NOTE: They no longer post w

Audit of frequent Pennsylvania Lottery winners draws concern
This is about the current administration in Pennsylvania trying to get extra cash from the lottery by alleging that there is something suspicious about these wins.
It seems pretty clear that at least one purpose of the audit is to see if some frequent claimants are claiming prizes won by other people. In fact, the article specifically mentions that. Identifying people who are claiming on behalf of others might result in more money in state coffers, but that would be from better collection of

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
Not necessarily. When you're dealing with statistics, the sample size is extremely important, and I don't think you're looking at a sample size that would properly even out the outliers.
But I don't want to get lost in the reeds. No, the lotteries are not filtering out anything, and most certainly in the United States there no state lottery manipulating any draw results. As I mentioned, that would be an extremely stupid and purposeless crime to commit.
As Eddie Tipton demonstrated, it's ce

Former tribal lobbyist named as new California Lottery director
California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed Alva Vernon Johnson to take over the the state's lottery Monday, after former director Hugo Lopez stepped down Friday amid investigations.
Johnson, a former tribal lobbyist, takes over a department that has been been under scrutiny from the Department of Justice and the State Controller's Office since August, when anonymous employees sent a letter to former Gov. Jerry Brown alleging misconduct among senior executives at sales conferences.

This explains where 100 % the unclaimed prize money that is generated, goes to.
Looking at the funds generated from unclaimed revenue from 2016 2017 (approx $25.5 Million) by your process, we would have to have at least 26 of the 1500 tickets that would make up the difference.
TN is a non state income tax state an

Crime story: A recounting of the biggest lottery scandal in history
The file landed on Rob Sand's desk with something less than a thud. Despite holding the contents of an investigation still open after more than two years, the file was barely half an inch thick. Happy birthday, his boss said.
It was not Rob Sand's birthday. His boss, an Iowa deputy attorney general named Thomas H. Miller, was retiring in July 2014 after nearly three decades of prosecuting everything from murder to fraud. H

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Did anyone else read the current News Story on the LP main page about the IL Lottery not awarding jackpots for some of its largest jackpot games?
This has me concerned. Apparently it was mentioned in the article that FL has a 100% jackpot release rate for all of it's games, but I'm not buying that. Yes, it's true winners will get tossed in the trash because people aren't being careful.
But with what's going on the past few years. The 100X game, did the FL Lottery ever really release the la
