How High Will You Go?
My vote was No, neither.....but I want to add that's assuming the present game, present matrixes. I can see one or both of them changing to rev up interest, people are getting numb to jackpot news and it takes larger amounts to stir interest. If this happens it will be good for the lotteries only and not the players, but with those kind of jackpot amounts more and more neophyte and occassional players will get involved.

Ohio Lottery panel rejects new Gov.'s call for smaller prizes
Yes the higher the payout percentage the higher the excitement and the higher the revenues. Sometimes though when you have a high payout percentage and all that money goes to super inflated jackpots a lot of little people dont realize the higher percentages. Not every scratch off game needs to have million dollar payouts. That is where I think these lotteries get wacky. Let the online games have the huge payout of millions and tens of millions. Let the scratch off games have reduced life changin

Playing Repeat Complete Sets
Although it would give you just a teeny tiny set of numbers to play (figuring you are just using one states' numbers) you could be dust-and-crust by the time a number-set three-peated. And some states have that nasty habit of changing their game matrices.

Powerball for 25 cents...
pumpi76 it seem like no matter what the game is your bent on changing the payout structure the style the matrix or whatever for some reason. games in the us are fixed at the set price if anything they will cost more to play. A can of soda cost a buck. even most homeless people can scrounge up a buck to play if their so inclined to.

Three states replacing Lotto South game
It's not a life-changing type product, but it could make things a little nicer ... Anyone who picks all six will win $1,000 a week for life, with at least 10 years of payments guaranteed to winners or their heirs. Winners also may choose a lump sum of $520,000 before taxes... If a player chooses $1,000 a week for life, I wonder how the taxes will be handled. If taxes aren't automatically withheld from every check, I would guess that the player would be responsible for making quarterly tax pa

Tenn lottery
Although I play it once in a while in GA, I think TN should avoid Lotto South and opt for their own in-state Lotto - A 6/46 matrix game drawn every Saturday. Would you please write the Georgia Lottery and express that? Also anyone else who liked playing Lotto Georgia please do the same because they can't read your minds . Ms. DeFrancisco has responded well to input regarding giving something back to players by changing Fantasy 5 payouts to parimutuel and with sending out buy one get one free i

N.C. resident speaks out against computerized lottery drawings
They better start a letter writing campaign before the director makes the purchase...otherwise, its all over. Michigan has rng for everything but the 3 and 4 digits....the number game is their cash cow and I think they would be scared to death to change to the RNG type drawings for fear of out right revolt, therefore they resort to changing the ball sets EVERY drawing.....better that than the RNG tho....To me you have a better chance at winning on an instant ticket than any thing that is RNG g

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
Which 2 states are joining which lottery games? As far as a petition goes, have petitions ever been effective for anything? (I would like the petition to be successful, but am wondering if something more proactive needs to be done to keep the system from changing to computerized drawings). I don't trust a computerized game either because even a random generator has to have logical code written. Today I tried the random number generator for powerball on this website and got the same powerball num

Will gamble on lottery revenue pay off for N.C.?
Not sure about the payout percentages when many of the prizes are a free ticket that does not cost the state a dollar to give as a prize.I find it troubling when a state works against it's citizens. A properly run lottery should be a way to redistribute wealth, raise up people who have no other way of improving their lot in life and keep the lid on the garbage can by keeping hope alive.A couple of lottery tickets can help people get through a bad week with the hope the lottery will solve all th
