Are we fooled to believe that there's a system?
According to lottery websites the odds of having a winning ticket can vary from 1:10 (10%) for a pick5 game to 1:40 (3%) for a jackpot game like MegaMillions and yet there are predictors at LP who consistently do better than that. That tells me these predictors aren't just randomly picking their combinations but are using a strategy that improves their odds of winning. If the payouts were equal to even a third the odds of winning, these strategies would make a profit and lotteries recognize this

Money Matters 101
There is no luck involved when the payoff odds are the same as the odds for or against something happening. By playing 600 numbers, the odds of Match winning are 3/2 in Match's favor and by playing online and getting $900 to $1, the payoff odds are 2/3. It's similar to the free odds bet in Casino Craps. It breaks down to 600 ways to win against 400 ways to lose and Match is actually laying odds by betting $150 to win $75.
If Match plays the same 600 numbers and bets the same in 1000 drawings,

How do I prove my state lottery's CGNs are fixed?
I tried tracking games with better odds than PowerBall using that AABBCC system and while the odds were improved 200% the payouts amounts eliminated any advantage gained.
For example I played the Ohio Classic Lotto which has overall odds of 1:54 of winning a prize (the smallest and most likely being $2). The odds of matching 3 for $2 is 1:57 and I've regularly matched three 1-2 times with 20 lines which wins $2-$4. To make any money or break even I would need to match 4 for $70 more often an

how often do you play powerball/mega millions in your state?
Actually your odds of a hit (but not winning the jackpot) would with be better with PB or MM
In Ohio we have MegaMillions with 175M possible combinations and Classic Lotto with 14M possible combinations so you would think Classic Lotto with better odds of winning the jackpot would be more popular but the overall odds of winning something ($2 or more) playing MM are 1:40 and 1:54 for Classic Lotto so MM attracts more players.
I suspect the same thing would happen in Florida if Florida Lotto

Company proposes new pooling lottery ticket to fight 'jackpot fatigue'
I wrote to all of the powerball state lottery representatives and warned them about this problem when they raised the powerball odds from an astronomical 120million to 1 to the statistically impossible 145million to 1. When the odds are raised people expect higher jackpots and when it takes forever for the pot to build up to the expected level, then sales are going to drop. The pool solution is something I would never participate in simply because it's another hand in the player's money. My s

Odds/Number Of Tickets
elmoo, Cointoss is correct in his post, except he didn't use your specific game. You say the odds in the MA Megabucks are 5 million to one (i.e. 1 in 5,000,000 )
Buy ten tickets and that eliminates ten possible combinations. So if you are holding ten tickets, your odds of winning are then 1 in 4,999,990. If you bought one hundred tickets, your odds of winning would be 1 in 4,999,900, etc.
This is to say that buying multiple tickets doesn't really change the odds very much at all for the p

Odds/Number Of Tickets
Does anyone know how the number of tickets you buy for a game affect your odds? For example, the MA Megabucks game is roughly 1 in 5,000,000 (for simplicity) for the jackpot. If a $10 scratch ticket offers $1,000,000 with odds of winning 1 in 2,000,000, if I went and spent the $10 on 10 tickets for Megabucks, would that mean the chance of winning the jackpot in Megabucks with 10 tickets would be roughly 1 in 500,000?
I know this is a simplification and ignores all the smaller prizes you cou

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
The odds are the same either way. If you buy all 46 (or 42) mega ball numbers then you are guaranteed of winning whatever the prize is for matching that one MB number. If you are looking at it as an independent game then it in no way affects the odds on the 5 of 5 combinations.
Your odds for winning 5 out of 5 are still the same as stated in the odds chart.
The odds of winning the jackpot (5 plus MB) are still high as stated in the odds chart because the ticket that has 5 of 5 right still

There Are A Few Good Ones In NY
If you play scratch-offs in New York, you'll notice that the odds usually pretty long for scratch-offs. Even the most expensive tickets can have 1 in 5 odds, which is a total-ripoff. And on a less scathing note, many games lack the option to take your payment in cash. But there are a couple of games that are worth buying. And they're all just a $1.Instant Take Five - This game has one of the best cash prize odds in New York. But it also has a Take Five quick pick prize, which lowers the overall
