Vermont Lottery offers new self-service machines
It's a busy travel day at the Guilford Rest Area, and tourists all seem to have the same reason for stopping.
Probably one of the best rest areas I have ever been to in the country, said Tim Donahue from Lester, Massachusetts.
We enjoy stopping here because it is a beautiful rest stop. Probably one of the most beautiful in the country, said John McGuire from Torrington, Connecticut.
Any time we come up to this area I love this rest stop. It's just beautiful here, said Dave Ranan from

Did you hear the one about a man who walked into a bar
I Googled it, it happened over the summer, it happened In Holbrook, not too far from where I live and the man won that ticket at some machine in the bar and he had to insert his license into it to verify he was the winner, and he was shocked that a someone, much less a woman was able to redeem it since he had proof in the machine of his license being photographed and proof on his reciept too ( hmm why he made sure to keep the reciept safe and not the ticket is strange).
But what dopey women,

Lottery Etiquette (Mostly Scratch)
There was a guy at the vending machine getting a scratch ticket, quickly rubbing off the bar code, scanning, and if it was a winner, scanning again to add to his balance in the machine. Then he'd buy another scratch and do the same thing. I stood there for a couple minutes, then said I'm not buying a scratch, just a megamillion. He reluctantly said okay, put your money in and get what you need. He had over $20 balance, so I put my dollar in on top of his and got my mega.
After I left, I wonde

Post your scratch ticket results
I think your $20 tickets are better than ours. I have already gone 6-7 in a row and lost. Then to get the next one to win $20. My thought process changed. Any casino/slot machine can hit at any time. There could be no $500 winner east of Harrisburg(alittle dramatic I know), but store A could have no big winners and if you keep playing there you have no shot of winning. If I am in the casino, at least I know I am in the right building to hit, just a matter of which machine and when. If I am in an

I think I got ripped off
You got that right Charmed...yesterday I bought $12 worth of p3 tickets and the machine said I owed that I paid it but then counted them and only had $11.50 worth, so I told the clerk and she said sorry that's what the machine said and I cleared it out before I ran them...well I just happened to look over at the machine and there was my extra ticket still at the top of the machine.
I told her now if that one had won you'd have gotten a win wouldn't you...just joking laughed, but not really jo

Illinois self-service lottery machines
Hi from Maryland.
The store where I usually get my lottery recently had one of these machines installed. The guys installing the machine said that this store was only the third one in Maryland to have one installed. It's a good idea, but rather slow and can freeze up on you. Tonight, one of the regular customers, actully had a ticket get stuck in the machine. I thought he was going to knock the machine over and jump on it to get his ticket.
Good luck!

An Ethical Dilemma...
All I could think of, though, for the next couple of days was whatwould happen if I won the Mega Millions jackpot on one of the firstfour rows on the ticket (i.e. on the other person's money). I wouldhave felt guilty about that money for the rest of my life. So...I'mactually kind of glad I didn't win on Tuesday.
Actually, even if they did get their $4 worth when they were at the machine, that wouldn't mean they would have won compared to if they have left $4 in the machine and you would have

buying lottery tickets
she says sorry but the machine is acting up.
Translation: I don't know how to run this simple machine so I'll blame it on a malfunction and hope this customer buys my mistake or I can sell it to other players.
Have you ever seen them run a slip 2 or 3 times before the terminal read it and printed your ticket(s)? The terminals definitely act up sometimes. A bit of dirt, a water spot, whatever, and the machine may think there's a mark where there isn't. If the mark makes it look like you'

Texas Lottery Winners Denied Prize
In Delaware the lottery tickets are stamped with the word PROCESSED when a ticket is checked in a machine. Also, the machine prints a slip which they must staple to the ticket and keep for their records. Also, the self-checkers display the amount of a winner and have little monitors pointed towards the customer so they can see what the machine does (including how much balance a customer has). The machine also cheers when it processes a winner. I only cash my tickets at 2 different stores, and at

How To Protect Yourself In A Lottery Pool
HERE IS STH Australia THE LOTTO machine can print out syndicate entries, how they work is the individual ticket is a bearer claim form for that share.
um let me try n explain better.
say there are 10 people in the syndicate, and the cost is $200 for the entry. the machine will print 10 shared tickets, they each have 1 10th of the prize assigned to them, and cost $20 ea.
no need for legal battles, you get yas ticket dont lose it!
