CA=pari-mutuel prizes for MM
I wonder what happens if California doesn't have any second place winners. Does that prize pool roll over as well or does that get distributed to the rest of the lower tier winners?

Anti-lottery group will file lawsuit against Mega Millions in Calif.
I see that in Cal the Mega ball only paid one dollar. I know that is parimutuel but say the payout should theoretically be 1.99 and its rounded down to paying a dollar, where does that other 99 cents go? That is horrible that you only get a buck there, but I see you got 8 bucks for hitting three numbers. Just curious where that runoff goes, to the higher tier prizes? Or back in the pool for next time.

Chou..glad to have you back,sounds like a great vacation....I could use one..LOL..just got back from one but I had my 2 year old with me and the ocean was out the front day ,the pool to the right of me and the busy highway out the back door,so I cannot say I rested for one moment. But we did have a good time...

Where has all the Triples gone?
If states that have ball drop draws for both Cash 3 and Cash 4, they most often use a single pool of ballsets for both Cash 3 and Cash 4 draws ........... so the triples y'all are looking for may show up in Cash 4. Take a look at recent Cash 4 draws in Florida for a bunch of triples.

Do you believe you'll win a jackpot?
When I stand in line to buy my tickets I tell the people behind me not to bother buying a ticket.I tell them I have already picked the winning numbers. So you might as well give me your money right now. So after I buy the ticket they all pool their money and give me $1,000.00 dollars for the winning ticket.Made 5 grand at 5 different locations that night.

The Math and The Lottery
John,As I mentioned in my earlier post even being able to improve their odds by 40% during 65% of the drawings doesn't interest the average lottery player but it would be interesting to have software available that would look for such long term scenarios and display the percent of improvement, it might come in handy for pool players.RJOh
