How High Will You Go?
The last roll of MM increased the (annuity) jackpot by about $115 million, which means that if it had rolled it would definitely have gone past $500 million. Even with 212 million tickets sold there was at least a 1 in 3 chance of rolling, so I'd say that reaching $500 million is a foregone conclusion. The only question is when it will happen and which game will do it first. The higher odds say MM is more likely to roll, but the longer annuity payout for PB let's them inflate the advertised j

How High Will You Go?
So close to the 400.00 million mark. MEgaMillions. Wish you had gone all the way to $400 mil plus. I think that if the jackpots got really big, there would be more 5 number winner payouts? Just my thoughts. I never worry about the numbers, stats, odds, etc. I just play and win here and there.

Georgia Trucker Claims Half of Record $390 Million Lottery Jackpot
It depends on if the winner feels it is better to invest the money themselves from the present value or let the Lottery do that and pay it out over time. With a jackpot that size I'd see no problem with annuity. Every year there'd be a payment that itself would equal a lottery jackpot.
In my program if I backtest with Quick Picks vs. my system, my system will always beat it (but needs to get a decent ratio to beat the 50% take out).. they put the drawing on Times Square which would throw off

Georgia Trucker Claims Half of Record $390 Million Lottery Jackpot
Lottery is a fraud.out of 390 million dollars how do u only give out 160 million after taxes?.at the very least the winners should walk away with at least half of the advertised jackpot after taxes.i guess that i will never be a millionaire through the lottery system because i dont play the million dollar games.the statement about them cutting it in half because of the lump sum is not true..if you take the 20 year option you still will pay the same amount in taxes if not more.there are no 300 p

All states Lottery...tax free
NOT TRUE ! The reason Canada and our provincial games are tax free is that the GOVERNMENT runs the lottery and no outside operator. They advertise the jackpot as they are. The government takes its shares before the jackpot is determined. That's why you will never see a jackpot in Canada ever get to 100 million. The U-S advertises its prizes before any government intervention. It's not about funds...it's just the way each province (OLG, WCLC, Loto Quebec, ALC, BCLC) has been run since lot

$340 MILLION: Biggest Mega Millions lottery jackpot ever
Just the type of media the lottery wants, should bring in lots more sales. There seems to be a trend with record jackpots now. The match 6 is also the highest it has ever been. I wonder if the powerball will follow?

Record Jackpots excluding current Mega
When I started this I had 20 most of which I had to get the cash amount by Googling for newspaper articles from just after the win. Since everyone on the list choosed the cash amount it was fairly easy. My earlier lists included a CA superlotto win that I could never find a good cash amount for. Later I pared it down to 15. The list is just a text file on my desktop that I don't change unless something actually breaks the cash amount on the list. Actually you suggested I pare it down since all o

Record Jackpots excluding current Mega
I have been doing cash jackpots for several times now and just update my last page and correct for errors. This is version 4 or 5 for me now so the only copy would be if someone copied my work and stuck it on wikipedia.

Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased to $216 million
It's funny cause there was just an article that said people aren't playing as much as they used to. I still insist that more people play when jackpots are higher, we all know that there are slim odds, but when the jackpot is steep, what's a few bucks? People spend over $5 a day on cigarettes, so that's pretty much how I justify spending $10 on large lotto drawings. Someone's gotta win right?

Free LOtteries:Are they good?
Free lottos used to be good -- several years ago. Now they are nothing but spam magnets. If you enjoy wading through thousands of spoam messages in your inbox, then sign up for a free lotto. If you want to win something get a real lottery ticket. People spend all day working with those free lotto things and never win a thing, because frankly the banner ads do not pay the lotto companies enough to generate any meaningful jackpots.
