Winning Numbers 4/10/05: 6-9-14-34-35My top 13 most likely numbers out of the pool of 35 were:1-6-7-14-15-17-18-20-23-28-29-34-35.I know this post is after-the-fact. Maybe I'm onto something, maybe not. Stay tuned.

Lottery software development ideas
Hopefully Developer, who started this thread, got some ideas from the input and will add them to his program. It will be interesting to see if he updates his Lottery Statistic Analyser program with tools that allows the average player to reduce his number pool to 18-20 numbers and still have 4 or 5 of the winning numbers in it most of the time.

MM Drawing for Tuesday 4-12-05
Chief,In 57% of the previous drawings all 5 numbers had been drawn in the previous 23 drawings. Every number except 46 is within that parameter, so I'll use my RNG to pick my combinations from a pool of 51 numbers. I matched 1+1 with 25 lines the last time. Good luck to you.RJOh

Powerball's Match 5 Bonus Pool Rule
Match 5 bonus rule works like this when the jackpot reaches 340 million dollars it will rise in 25 million increments and the rest of the money will go into a 5+0 pool to be divided among those winners. If they have no 5+0 winners then it goes to the 4+1 winners and so on. It is a limit on how high the jackpot can potentially be and that is why I hate it!

Powerball's Match 5 Bonus Pool Rule
They limit rollovers to $25 million each if the jackpot gets to be $25 million over the previous record (currently, the qualifying jackpot is $340 million). The excess cash gets placed in a Match 5 bonus pool, which is distributed among all the $100,000 winners when the record jackpot is finally won.

102 Mega Millions Jackpot 4/8/05
I'm thinking about using a pool of numbers in the last 22-40 drawings with a RNG to pick some combinations to play tonight. Good luck MegaMillions players.RJOh

Powerball Lottery States Vote to Change Game
O.K. Now this is a realistic proposal. Somewhere between a rip-off (PA Lucky For Life) and a complete bank-breaker (doesn't exist). 5 Powerball: Jackpot (Of Course)5 (No Powerball) : $200,0004 Powerball: $10,0004 (No Powerball): $2003 Powerball: $2003 (No Powerball): $102 Powerball: $101 Powerball: $40 Powerball: $3May I also suggest the removal of the Match 5 Bonus Pool which limits jackpot growth to $25,000,000 per draw. Especially now, considering that with PowerPlay multiplier

Merging Powerball and Mega Millions?
I would also switch the match 4 and match 3+1 prizes, since it's slightly easier to match 4 than it is to match 3+1. Adopting DrEw's prize structure would give only 4.03% of the prize pool to the jackpot winner. Under a 50% return rate, this means only $0.02 of every $1 played would go to the jackpot, which sort of defeats the purpose of a high rolling jackpot game. BTW, the odds of matching 0+1 under a 6/48 + 1/20 matrix are 1 in 46.79.
