The minutes following a big jackpot win.
In the world of the stockmarket you occasionally hear an analyst or tv business guru being interviewed mention the word capitulation. This word is sometimes used to indicate in a 'bear market' when the participants have kind of 'thrown in the towel'. I love to think of that word 'capitulation' when I play lotto, because in the past, it's the times when I just can't seem get anything to happen for the longest time and I almost don't even get a ticket that I've gotten my most memorable hits. On De

Stay with your numbers
From everything that I have seen and heard from myself and others, things are not the same for everybody, for me there is no such thing as luck and or lucky number(s) or random, I don't like quick picks, I have played jackpot games very few times, the only time that a quick pick game me any winning numbers (2 of them) was when I used the Lottery post RNG, all other times nothing at all, when I have picked my own numbers, I almost always got 2 numbers right and 1 number off by 1 and sometimes 1 n

Has anyone here ever won the lottery big!
I must agree with Pick 4 Master---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here we go AGAIN first of all your COMPLETELY wrong the lottery is not based on LUCK and luck only works for those that believe in it also you don't have to wait for LUCK to strike you can make your own LUCK.And as far as GOD is concerned if you believe GOD sits up in HEAVEN and decides who will win the lottery or not then I hope your on his list. For the others that believe winni

$60 million? It's 'like an out-of-body experience'
Quote: Originally posted by Lurk More N00b on January 17, 2004 Quote: Originally posted by DoubleDown on January 16, 2004 I'm glad to see how many tickets she bought. I hate it when I see the winner bought 1 quick pick and won....I'd almost have to agree with you about the buying one ticket and winning scenario, but that's usually all I can scrape up enough for each week. (Please forgive my poverty.) What irritates me is when any given winner is the kind of person who only buys tickets when the

Pensacola Quick Pick hits jackpot
A new millionaire bought Saturday's winning Florida Lotto ticket at a Pensacola gas station. It's the first time a winning ticket has been purchased at the Albertsons Express gas station near the intersection of Nine Mile and Pine Forest roads. But unfortunately for the fortunate Quick Pick (computer generated) ticket holder, he or she will split Saturday's estimated $40 million jackpot with two other people who bought winning tickets in Miami and Royal Palm Beach, according to a Florida Lottery p

OK, i can take a joke. if i dish it out right? (lol)but your a little slow. the one that is 2nd from the left is a woman (a dudette ). but you are right, i was there. stayed for the lazer show afterwards. you would've noticed me though, i showed up in a super-hero costume with a big V on my chest and was the keynote speaker. i was at the podium (out of the picture) directing bucket traffic . my fee for showing up to speak....$1, which i went after the meeting and bought (1) quick pick with

Visiondude is right on the money !!
secret, the secret is out of the bag (lol). like i said, everybody gets down different. if someone comes to me and says they can beat the odds and they like trying , by all means have at it. personally i think it is random although i have an open mind. like i said, to me it is more of a matter of destiny than attempting to pick the right numbers.i like what RJOH had to say. he wants to see results instead of theories. so do i. whoever gets to the big jackpot first will have the right to say

Odds and Quick Picks
The recent discussions concerning quick picks made me a bit courious to find some historical fact I might be able to comment on.Now bear with me my observations are limited to the Take 5 (5# draw game) in New York which is where I concentrate my efforts.I usually pick my own numbers to play, but will buy a Quick pick occasionally. Of a total of (62) Quick picks in this sample, (38) 61.3% had mixed numbers, (18) 29% had 2-consecutive #'s, and (6) 9.7% were with either two sets of 2-consecutive #

Avoid Quick Picks
Hi Everybody,It's been a while since I've posted, a long while-- I'm glad to be back.Anyway, I would encourage you to read William Atwood's book, The Lottery Solution wherein he explains mathematically how unwise it is to do quick picks. One reason is that because numbers repeat on the same ticket, for example on a $5.00 quickpick, you are at a mathematical disadvantage. He says to buy more numbers not more tickets. He includes a diskette in the inside back cover with his software that spits o

How do you select your numbers??
Most of the winners just use quick picks. People who use software to predict powerball numbers are just wasting their time. The Lucky 13 (1998) and the 14 Sandia Lab employees from New Mexico (2000) who won the powerball won on a random quick pick. The unemployed person from Kentucky who won powerball in 2001 (David Edwards) usually picked numbers from birthdays and anniversaries, but the actual winning ticket was a random quick pick. There is no guaranteed way to beat the lottery, but there
