Sex offender wins Alaska lottery that aids sex abuse victims
IF his conviction was of the lessor type, such as flashing a minor he deserves, and needs help, no different than someone who cross-dresses.
What don't people here understand about the word REPEAT? The man was convicted 3 times!
Ahsoak has three convictions for sexual abuse of a minor 2 on his record.
I don't feel like elaborating too much, because I might say something I shouldn't. However, when there's a news article about a lottery scam, everyone always says that the thieves

Ex-con held onto his lotto millions and started new life
More than the millions, the birth of his first son turned him away from street life and selling drugs, Robelin says.
Maybe the birth of his son and winning the lottery was his epiphany. Maybe he saw this as his second chance at life.
ThatScaryChick
Okay, TSC, you have a point, but it sounds as if he turned away from that life because he was busted. This is just one article and I really don't know anything about this man. Sure, people do change. I get that. I was only saying he lived a

Correlation btwn Lotto Players and Gambling in General
I said I bet i didn't say There are i set i bet there are more people that bet on chickens than there are people that play cards, and i strongly believe it...When someone says i bet is like another way of saying i believe this and this is such way and i am willing to bet on it....
Since the dawn of mankind before the coin was invented (i don't know the history but i think it went something like this) (and the oldest coin betting game tells me it had to be heads or tails) and the playing card

who know the statistics of lottery winners who go broke
Nearly one-third of lottery winners become bankrupt.
The CFP Board made an offer to the National Association of State and
Provincial Lotteries to provide the organization's members with
information to distribute to winners. The Investment News article
highlighted the lack of financial guidance many winners receive from
state lottery agencies; estimates show that nearly one-third of
lottery winners become bankrupt.

There is the fascinating story of the Woba Sisters (Science Digest Magazine, article by Dr. Ben Simpelton) who are said to play pick three numbers with remarkable success. the sisters evidently made a good living using their Secret Numbers list . These old retired Tibetan women are rumored to be living now in Las Vegas although I have not personally seen them. And yes I did experiment with the surviving list at about

'Most dangerous' sex offender wins $10M lottery jackpot
Nanolike,
I can appreciate your opinions about the article, as I can appreciate others opinions about it even if some seem to be pity pleas. But, you seemed to have missed one important point.
Even if this guy has had a change of heart, repented, moved on with his life as a GOOD GUY, (which I doubt). He did not alert authorities of his move from one place to another as all sex offenders are instructed to do. He is crossing State lines with his job which authorities will have a hard time ke

'Most dangerous' sex offender wins $10M lottery jackpot
wow i guess this just goes to show that with the lottery anybody can win at any given time. my opinion is
this the families of his victims will never see a dime of this money. maybe if they filed civil suits against him
before he won this money then maybe they could claim some of it that way, but if he doesnt have any cases
pending right now and all of the other cases are old i dont see him having to give up any money at all. i just
hope that one day he is caught in the act and is lo

Police seize winning lottery ticket bought with drug money
Spy, this is just my opinion, but I think the reason this bothers you so much is because the man has been arrested, tried and convicted in four column-inches of newsprint. The guy's obviously guilty; he's a drug dealer, after all, so why bother with a trial?
As we progress into the 21st century, our legal system seems to be reverting to the archaic ways of 16th century England, when the monarchy could take anything they wanted from the serfdom without process. This practice caused a rev

Randomness of the lottery
Each tube has it's history and pattern whether it's yet developed and predictable. When the officials rotate the tubes, they don't inform what new positions they are in. New York used to show the orientation, but stopped around 10 years ago.
I don't feel that the premise being set here was just on whether the lottery is random or not. I'm pretty sure most everyone knows this. Just acknowledging the fact that quirks within any system exists is the real message. Random maybe random, but even ra
