New Fla Play 4 Payouts
The payout for a pair is $50 on a 50 cent play? Then it would be $100 for a dollar? Oh my god, thats a 100% prize pool!!!!

NY Lotto (currently 6/59)
The much-maligned NY Lotto has been 6/59, two plays for $1 since the week of 9/11. The next time the game is changed, do you think the NY Lottery will leave the big jackpots to Mega Millions, or will they shoot even higher (40% prize pool notwithstanding.) *NOTE: Because some online lottery games cost $2, IMO we need to start addressing odds per $1.

Jury rules lottery pool members entitled to share Mega Millions prize
Here's an idea....Put a clause in lottery pool contracts. Barring the designated purchaser from playing with his/her own money. Then this problem would never happen again.A small sacrifice for playing with other peoples' money.

The New York Lottery Games: Jimmy Style
also remember that it's more likely that the lower prizes will be won by more players, so you may want to allocate a higher pecentage of the prize pool to the lower prizes.

Jury rules lottery pool members entitled to share Mega Millions prize
Three of the pool members who testified on Kyle's behalf during the two-day trial in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court said they weren't interested in the money. But they may change their minds now that a jury has ordered Kyle to slice up the cash pie.He predicted that would happen if he had to split it with any of them and I guess he was right.RJOh

Ohio lottery pool lawsuit focuses on time of purchase
I agree with you Deertrail. I was once in a pool at work. We had planned to have a party at the end of the year and split the winning up between all of the participants, but, the person who held the money had spent most of it on medications that she needed and couldn't pay us back. She didn't even show up at the party, which is understandable. We all forgave her. But money does strange things to people that you love and trust.

Tennessee Lottery to finally reveal Lotto 5 jackpots
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on January 14, 2005 NY never advertises the Take Five top prize, even though it fluctuates from drawing to drawing.NY never knows what the top prize will be until the draw takes place. But they do advertise the avg. payout of $50,000 (usually due to 2 people sharing the avg. $100,000 prize pool).
