Here We Go Again
JimmySand9, I will be shocked if PB wins the jackpot for a third straight time. I will also be shocked if both MM and PB win jackpots back to back times in consecutive draws.

Whose head will explode if the next 5 MM draws are won?
Considering the routine low jackpots MM produces anymore I wouldn't be surprised. At this point it needs a lottery Viagra to get up anymore.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
There have been 15 first draws since the matrix change. Only one first drawing has been won, meaning that 93% of the time, the first jackpot has rolled over.
This is consistent with the figures I routinely give here when first jackpots crop up, close to what I predict for the likelyhood that the next first jackpot will roll over.
If no could ever win a first jackpot, no one would ever play it of course. A single ticket playing in a $300 million jackpot has the same probability of winn

Mega Millions won again
well we don't know if the person who won bought tickets in advance or not. Played his/her own numbers or bought a qpick. A lot of times when the draw is high i buy my quick pick tickets for consecutive draws. figuring i might possibly get a good/better selection of numbers since the high jackpots generate/sell more q picks than small pots.

New NY Lotto by 2007?
NY Lotto could go back to being annuity-only (like GA Lose for Life) and it wouldn't lose much money from me as I rarely play it. I hope soon NY Lotto starting jackpots will be lowered to 2 million.

Who Here Only Plays Powerball?
I live in Canada so I don't play Powerball or Mega Millions. If I was in the United States I would try the games. The jackpots get very high.

If you had to play 1000 PB/MM tickets,
When I think about it there is no sensible reason for any one to buy 1000 QPs when there are many towns in PB/MM states with 30,000 people or more that probably purchase a thousand or more QP's when ever the jackpots are large and have never had a second place winner. Why would an individual or group expect to do any better doing the same thing?

what state do you see joining the lottery next?
I do not know about any of the states left joining to have a lottery. I would like the florida lottery to offer a Multi-state game like Powerball or Mega millions to its players. So when I play those games the jackpots will grow larger.-weshar75

Does PB or MM get hit first?
Last year it was Mega Millions that always went high before hitting, although Powerball hasn't had a jackpot hit under $100 million since last November, which ironically was the same month Mega Millions' string of seven $100+ million jackpots ended. Figures, when one jackpot keeps getting hit, the other jackpot keeps going very high before hitting - it's a conspiracy.
