That is true but why take a 20 year annuity when we don't know if we will around that long. Also no one knows where the money is being kept to pay out the annuity each year. If that place goes bankrupt, your money is gone. It reminds me of the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes that went bankrupt in 2025. Hmmm. From my experience I would say No. However, that little clerk who takes your money every day, who sees that you are a winner often and you don't or never tip when you do win can seem to be sending some kind of negative vibes your way. My general rule, I don't cash all my winners at the same spot I played in. I tip or buy lunch for the person who gave me the winners and sometimes if I feel good about a number, I get the cashier a st/bx ticket too. Now when I go to buy, they will drop whatev
