$50M Powerball jackpot to be split 3 ways
All the Power Ball numbers were under 30 so no wonder there were so many winners. People probably played and won with birthdays (some could of been quick picks). Splitting $50 million is still awesome. You can easily retire on that if you don't spend like crazy. Congratulations to the winners!

Mega Millions multi-state lottery to get harder to win in Oct.
Just thinking that myself this morning. I can retire on Texas Lotto if I'm ever lucky enough to hit that. Odds are 26 million to 1.

At this point: Would you be content to be included in a 4 way split of any major jackpot?
Yes. I will be content. 2 million after taxes would gladly suffice. Enough for the parents to retire.

Would you split the MM/PB jackpot evenly amongst family members if you Won?
I have two sisters and one brother (that is not on drugs)...and Ive always said Id split anything over 100 million actual cash value within the four of us...that way they could help whoever they'd want to kids friends etc...and anything under 100 million I'd just give them gifts and pay off thier bills so they could retire...they are all older than me and they've all taken good care of me over the years and since our parents are dead this would be the best I could do for them...monetary wise any

Is playing the lottery your only plan
I too would be homeless. I play for fun but that is not totally honest. I want a shortcut in life. I want to retire way before I'm 50.

Wyoming officially becomes 44th state with a lottery
If you want to be free of gambling, scratch Nevada and Mississippi from list of states without a lottery because they both have casinos. Alabama and Utah might be your best choices because they border a state without a lottery and states with lotteries. If you get the urge to drive out of state and buy tickets, it would be very difficult if you retire in Alaska and Hawaii.

Is everyone playing the lottery in hopes of being able to retire, what are your reasons for playing?
Well, yea, now the reason is so I can retire, before it was just so I did'nt have to work...there is a difference.
over the next 7 years I expect to earn about $600,000, so you may say, well thats all you need to win to retire right now,
au cont rare my freind, its not the same thing.
working those years I still would have a mortgage and would have to move.
OTOH w/a 4MILS clear from MM it becomes a no brainer.
