The current MM is barely a year old (when California joined.) It's too soon to raise the odds again. Before the year is over MM will be producing big jackpots again.

I'm also one of those people who likes smaller jackpots or doesn't care what the size is. I would love to win $10 million dollars. And I play whether it's $15 million or $200 million.

Why do so many players dislike smaller jackpots? I'd love to have the problem of worrying about what to do with a $10 million dollar win. And as the saying goes, you can't win if you don't play.

Big jackpot chasers have to wait no matter which lottery they play because all jackpots start out small and depend on players willing to play for a small jackpot at the same odds big jackpot chasers are willing to play for a large jackpot. I doubt if any lottery could survive if it depended only on big jackpot chasers to buy tickets. Big jackpot chasers will just have to continue to wait their turn if they don't want to play when the jackpot is small.

I don't see why low volume locations are dropping out. It's not like they need a full time employee just to handle lottery sales. And I think many that are staying realize as other games come online sales will pick up quite a bit. I agree with the others that sellers should get a percentage of winners sold not just for the big jackpots but for all winners sold. It doesn't have to be a lot % wise to make a difference whether a store decides to join the lottery team.

If you want to know how hard a lottery game is to win, you calculate the odds (1:possible combinations), the one with the most possible combinations is the hardest. I recently pointed that out in another thread where the players were winning a lot playing the Pick6 WV Cash25. The Cash25 is a 6/25 game(1:177,100) and winning it is a lot easier than winning a 6/49 game (1:13,983,816). Most Pick6 (6/44-59) games have jackpots of $1M or more and Cash25 had a jackpot of $25K.

The only thing I want to do with a big jackpot besides pay to get out of debt and get me a new vehicle is travel the interstate 5 route up and down washington to oregon getting multi-draw lottery tickets for mega millions and powerball. Lets face it if I had one jackpot I think he would get lonely and need some company or friend or a family of jackpots right along side of him.-weshar75

NY Lotto has had only $1 million rolls since the $45 million jackpot last month. Hopefully soon starting jackpots will be lowered to $2 million.
