illegal immigrants poll
The solution's too simple to justify the ten pages of comments. Don't let illegal aliens claim lottery jackpots. Make them hire someone who's here legally to claim it for them. If aliens were as good at winning jackpots as they are at giving a day of work for a day of pay, I'd go into the business of making the claims for them. No more than 10 percent fee after all taxes. Mega Draw
Part of it was a change made to how they deal with jackpots in Super 7. I kind of doubt they had 32.5 million unclaimed. Most bonus drawings are far smaller than this.

lottery post predicting jackpot on board
Todd talked one time of adding a feature that could hide predictions until just before the drawing so members who wanted bragging rights for their winning predictions but didn't want to share the prize could post but I guess everyone who post don't mind sharing the prize even if it's one of the multi-state jackpots. So far even the top predictors have not shown a profit over time so I doubt if anyone would play your numbers even if you posted them.

N.C. Lottery sales follow expected decline pattern
Not only will Powerball create more interest due to the large jackpots but, they will also have the ease of only having to establish the cards for the game to be set up.Consider that all the set-up has already been taken care of.No need for NC to do all the security, drawn machines, etc. that goes along with on-line games. You get the benefit of riding the coattails of a well established game right away.

Lottery winners question Calif. Mega Millions prizes
quit fibbing on the prizes? Good luck with that. Maybe if jackpots were listed as their post-tax cash amounts there would be less confusion but that's less likely than winning MegaMillions. Only way that would happen is if someone wins a law suit but the bond companies issuing inflated annuities have far more money and power than those wishing to fight them.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
They may have money left over, but it's not the required 50% less expenses, so that causes them to just deduct from future jackpots, like they do when they get an excessive amount of set prize winners, such as those two times last year when they got 86+ second place winners. Someone has to pay for "guaranteed" prizes, and I guess the states will be damned if they have to take it out of their program funds, so ultimately the nonguaranteed jackpot winners pay for them.

Ohio LOP-record low payouts again
Judt6ntlc, Ohio Super Lotto Plus did have a bonus ball, that's reason the Plus was added to its name. The problem was it was losing money using the same rules it had when it was a more popular game like starting jackpots of $4M and minimum rolls of $1M which had been $4M at one time. I look for a similar game with some rules changes to replace LOP, but not real soon. CASH Only, True SLP had more players than LOP, but it payed a higher percent of its sales out. If a game like

New Jackpot Idea - The Rollover Ball
Yeah, the rollover ball is bad because it blocks a bunch of prizes from being won. Yes, the $200000 tickets cannot be jackpots, but then the $10000 prize cannot be won either and neither can a $7 ticket win $100 instead or a ticket that would win nothing win $3, $4, or $7. Powerball isn't an all or nothing game.

Mega millions invention...
Yep, Mega Millions was formed to stop the money drain on big state lotteries due to Powerball having larger jackpots than theirs. Lotto America, Powerball's predecessor, was originally formed by six small state lotteries to compete with the big state lotteries' jackpot games, since the small state lotteries could not afford to have rolling jackpot games all by themselves.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
If every Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot in the future had a winner, they'd go out of business because the cash values of their guaranteed jackpots are always larger than 30.28855% (PB) or 31.8% (MM) of their first draw of the run sales. This is especially true of Powerball.
