a poll about annuities and lump sum
I agree with the value of an annuity. Having a guaranteed stream of income is very comforting to many people and often a wise investment. However, I still think we need to have a choice. I've read a lot of press releases where the winner was 75 or 80. When FL changed from a 20 year to a 30 year structured annuity, I got very annoye

a poll about annuities and lump sum
Anybody can take a lump sum and use some or all of it to purchase an annuity. But some lottery games (Lose for Life in GA) still force winners to receive periodic payments, with no cash option.

10 Worst Lotteries To Play
NY is one of the worst (terrible payout % in NY Lotto, and its numerous annuity-only scratches.) Unless you include video lottery; then NY ranks somewhat higher.

a poll about annuities and lump sum
I think if more people took the annuity option, the better their money will be handled, the longer it will last, the less chance it will be stolen or mooched, and most important of all, the less chance of a lottery win ruining your life.

new scratch off game for ny the $5 touchdown game
Everybody in NY should play Instant Take Five. You have to worry about the annuity prizes in NY's higher priced games (including all four versions of LOSE for Life) before playing them. BOYCOTT them!

A Challenge to CASH Only from SirMetro
The problem is he does not have factual evidence, he only has a personal opinion. He is not too young, I believe it is the opposite. He is over 60 I believe the last time I remember, which would explain his disdain against annuities. However he is trying to pass off personal bias as fact, and act as though everyone shares the same opinion. To only accept cash prizes is a very close-minded approach, it all depends on the circumstances at the time, and the person's situation. There is nothing

new scratch off game for ny the $5 touchdown game
Haven't you seen my posts that say to boycott the NY scratch games that are annuity only, like the $20 game, the $10 games, and the $5 game Million-Dollar FUMBLE? The best NY scratch game is the $1 INSTANT Take Five.
