Tennessee Lottery refuses to revert to ball drawings
Lottery players won't see any balls popping up with winning Cash 3 and Cash 4 numbers on them, at least not for the time being. The Tennessee Lottery Board decided Monday to keep using computers to pick numbers in the two games, despite calls for a change back to a ball-draw system. Board members said they wanted to wait until auditors completed their final reports on a computer coding error that kept non-repeating numbers like 1-1-2 or 5-5-5-5 from being drawn. They also noted that sales

Lottery 'glitch' leaves players suspicious
from the article: The glitch might not have happened at all if the lottery had bought the software to pick the random numbers from a different vendor. A Rhode Island firm, Szrek2Solutions, proposed a system costing more than $100,000 less than the one offered by Smartplay. _______________________________________ I corresponded with Irena Szrek and her husband in 2003, when LosingJeff and I were investigating the Hoosier Lottery's fraudulent operation. The RNG's manufactured b

Hoosier Lottery
RJ, I don't believe that CCHS is referring to the Free Quick Picks given away on the Hoosier Lottery's Lotto Game. I think he's referring to one of the latest in a series of Hoosier Lottery scandals. According to published press accounts and the class action suit filed against the Hoosier Lottery here's what happened: The Hoosier Lottery publishes Scratch off prize information on their website. Published information for the game Cash Blast indicated that the game was coming to an end.

How much have you WON?
Twice hit straight Pick 4's in MD. for $5,000 each past two years, several $400-$600 range in Keno and Bonus match Five. I always reccommend keeping losing tickets cause of the tax man. You have to fill out a form for amounts over $600.00 at the place you cash in, then they send you a couple of weeks later a W2-G form for gambling winnings which you report as income on your taxes. You then can deduct up to your winning amount your gambling losses which needs to be documentable by losing tickets

The possibilities for fraud in RNG games

And you stomped up to your room never wanting to play the hidden quarter game again...not ev

How an LP major jackpot winner could help lottery players
Maybe I've got this completely wrong. Maybe MUSL's not rolling around in rooms full of (Swiss bank vault) money like Scrooge McDuck. It seems to me MUSL's probably a careful readership for this thread, and any other similar to it. Even a reader such as RAVEN, (above) knows more about this than I do. Soooooo. MUSL employees, help me out here. I don't want to be harder on you than you deserve. Start a thread of your own, or just provide a link right here. Show us a 2005, 2

New Delaware Lotto Game to be Launched Amid Concerns Over Drawings
While the Delaware Lottery is launching its new Multi-Win Lotto game on Thursday, lawmakers will be continuing work on a measure stipulating that the lottery must convert back to mechanical drawing machines and live television broadcasts. But lottery officials say their high-tech system provides top security and ensures the offerings remain games of chance.Inside lottery headquarters in Dover, an auditor from an outside firm and state lottery office personnel gather in a secure room to draw the n

Missouri Lottery Ignites Controversy with Computerized Drawings
Residents of Big Mo should watch for an upcoming announcement stating that live drawings will no longer be broadcast due to lack of player interest. That's how it happened in Indiana, except that Indiana actually downloaded their RNG from a public site on the internet.Security for these machines is considerably less bulletproof than for the ball machines. In my home state, one of our official draw machines is actually housed at one of the Hoosier Lottery's vendors, Scientific Games, Inc. Oddly,

lottery machine and computer
Hmm... My fault; I thought I'd mentioned this. Indiana uses just such a computer to draw the numbers for all their online games. Most people here believe there's really no difference between numbers drawn with ping-pong balls and those drawn using an RNG. I think that's because most people here live in states that still use ping-pong balls to draw their numbers, and also because they believe people who live in states that use RNG's are paranoid or are ineffectual at selecting their numbers. I ext
