Anonymity a Sheild for Not Being Hounded
Was not talking about Sam, the individual; ole Sam had some good ideas. I was talking about the ability of huge amounts of money to corrupt. Not those with $1M, those with $10M, or even those with $40M Those with one hundred million! The Waltons and the Gates family are examples of corruption. Are there those that money does not corrupt. There is always some one who does not fit the template, but it does not invalidate the template. The concept that power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts ab

Who really need money?
Pac Your memory banks are what I call volatile, unstable and definiteley have corruption, they may need replacement, show me (us) where I said that. You must be thinking of some other person who believes in God. I have never made that statement. I have discussed religion with you before, but you won't answer and ignore the question I have asked you several times, because the answer is inconvienient to your arguments. I will ask it again: When you die, will you find out whether or not ther

Judge rules thief keeps lottery jackpot
Courts can also be just as corrupt as the Government. I don't believe any alleged dictatorship is free from corruption on all levels. However to me there is a big difference between cheating the Government, and threatening other's lives by robbing others at gun point. Maybe not to you though. I don't conform to anything that I know is wrong and against my belief system...I don't care who rules it or who it is. The Government cheats, ignores, and neglects far more people that actually need help,

If you won the lottery, would you leave dodge or...
if i won, i'd be on a plane out of canada tomorrow. the country doesn't do anything for the working man. the justice system is a joke. it's a group of lawyers and judges and whoever else is in cahoots. they know where the money is...and that's with the criminals. revolving door justice. screw the working man..you buy your house..your car..all your hard earned cash to pay for it and the crack heads and thieves just take it. but really who cares?? as long as i got all the things i need..who real

CBS publishes second hatchet job on lottery
It doesn't matter whose sand-box this is. We both have equal abiltiy to speak our minds. You said your opinion, and I said mine. Don't get upset and start implying you are being silenced or anything just because I put up a good argument. I never said that there is no corruption at state lotteries. That would be pretty dumb if I did, considering the number of corruption stories I've published here in the past. I said that I think the statement that blacks are being manipulated i

Massachusetts lottery causes may have historical precidence
After predicting this week that three modest-sized resort casinos would generate between $400 million and $450 million in tax revenues, Massachusetts Governor Patrick said, We will dedicate that revenue to improving transportation and to reducing property taxes . . . by investing casino tax revenue in refurbishing and expanding our transportation systems, we accelerate the growth of economic opportunities in every region, we ensure the safety of our roadways and bridges, and we address effect

Indiana Lottery (Hoosier Lotto)
Guru I understand exactly what you are saying. But given the history of scandal...corruption...secracy...rigged games...disproportionate winners...missing money...law suits...prizes paid without tickets....prizes paid after the claim period has expired...PLUS the use nontelevised RNG drawings...I have a really hard time accepting more than 10 months of rollovers at face value. I may be wrong but that's what I think. Jim

Paranoid or Prudent?
I don't think finding out the lottery is rigged would be quite as bad as like finding out there's no god. lol Sure people would be ticked, there might be some lawsuits. But they will fire some high-level dupe(s), they will say it was never the policy of the lottery commission to rig the drawings, the govt would say they fixed the system, set it up with checks and balances so it will never happen again. And we'd be right back there playing, hoping to catch the big one. That's exactly what
