NY Lotto could go back to being annuity-only (like GA Lose for Life) and it wouldn't lose much money from me as I rarely play it. I hope soon NY Lotto starting jackpots will be lowered to 2 million.

If NY Lotto is changed (rather than NY replacing it with a niche game) I can see the annuity going to 30 graduated payments, like in Powerball. NY Lotto is a game of extremes.

A national Keno game should be like the old PA Super 7, which had a jackpot (and longer odds.) However, it was annuity-only, so that would have to be updated.

In this age of GLOBAL WARMING, nobody should be playing for annuity payments (all lottery players should be after collecting in LUMP SUM.) Within 40 years, maybe 25, all h ll will break loose on Earth. Lottery winners collecting yearly or quarterly payments will be less worried about receiving their next checks than fighting for survival. People will be dying from high temperatures, disease, lack of food and clean water, etc. Search the Web if you don't believe me. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The best secondary prize I could get is in a 5/54 + 2/12 game without having the odds being way to high. Odds of that game would be 1:208 million for the primary jackpot and could easily support a $2.4 million annuity for a 54 + 1/12 win. Don't look for such creativity out of the Mega group however.

Making annual payments for anything other than the grand prize or jackpot for Mega Millions and Powerball is not a good idea. You would alienate alot of players who buy tickets who want the lower prizes to be cash payouts. You might as well shoot the games both in the head because you will kill those games. I am not going to play powerball if the 5+0 prize is an annuity based. You would be a fool to play a dumb ass game like that.-weshar75

Good thing it's not a Lotto or Mega Money ticket. In those games you have 60 days from the DRAWING to claim; after that, you are stuck with annuity payments.
