a rumor...don imus to join a state lottery for work
This appears to be a copy paste from someplace else, no? If someone else wrote it, it's usually a good idea to give credit.
Also, I believe the Hymietown remark by Jackson was given to a reporter, not in a public speech. It's still just as bad, but I wanted to correct the record on that.

Lotto tickets lead cops to murder suspect
So did I scan that correctly? They got the guy's DNA off his playslips?
As has become SOP in modern news reporting, the story reports a couple of facts and then ignores all the questions they raise. The story mentions the DNA but doesn't tell us how it helped, other than showing he had been there. Anyone else who was in there that day may have left some DNA behind, too, but it doesn't tell you when they wer htere or what they did while they were there. I had to reread the article to see if

Canada's Lotto 649 is 30 MIllions
Considering the sales of around $70 million the prize should go to around 40-43 million. I'd love to see a probability outcome for it (6/49 game tickets $2 each).
If it rolls (very doubtful) it would beat the previous record of 54 million. Prize will most likely be 40 mil CAN or 34 US million. In cash. For a 6/49 game that's a really good payout.

I am going to try to change the rules about annonymity...
Why shouldn't all the players have the right to know who won the jackpot?
Yes, it has occured to me and I can understand your point. But were just talking about an option. I figure it would be public record signed by a judge that would verify there was an actual winner. This would keep the naysayers at bay.

rain rain go away..and take the bad luck with you...
Illegible tickets like the ones described may well account for some of the unclaimed tickets we hear about now and then. The master computer will have a record of the ticket and the ticket could be valid, but since it's illegible there's a good chance nobody will ever know if it was a winner. In theory sales records might identify an illegible ticket by the parts that are legible and tickets that were printed immediately before or after, but unless somebody knows what numbers the ticket shoul

Miss Kitty's Pairs wk. 3-4
Hi Best Picks - Sorry! :-( Just a note on how the tiers are falling this week so far.... a record midday: all 5 draws fell in tier 2.. that's a first since I've been tracking these tiers since early November. Evening side has had 2 fall in tier 2 and 3 fall in tier 1. Of the 12 states I follow with these tiers, we are overdue in tier 4 for one state to hit there.... maybe you can try following the tiers and how they match with Emily's pairs? Good luck to you!!!

MM jumps to $19 million
that has to be a new record. I don't think I ever seen it jump above $16 million aftter the first roll before. People must be cashing in their $2 and $3 winners from Tuesday and buying tickets...haha

$370 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
You know they have to be lowballing the estimate. How embarrassing would that be... Well, we thought we had snatched the record from PB, but the jackpot was really $362 million, so we didn't even beat the Big Game.
Dare I mention it....when the dust settles, could tonight reach the $400,000,000 level???
