$370 MILLION: Mega Millions sets all-time lottery jackpot record
Well I just did the math and they are selling about $150,000,000 worth of tickets for this drawing. I believe that might be a record in itself but the May 2000 draw might have actually sold more. So I highly doubt someone is not going to win this drawing and if by a very slim chance no one does it will be amazing to see the next jackpot numbers. B-rad

Record Jackpots excluding current Mega
Powerball should not be able to hold the title of the highest jackpot in US lottery history . The comparison between different jackpots should always be made according to the cash value. Tomorrow, Powerball will offer their annuity paid out in 40 years and will have a record jackpot of $500 million. Would that really be the highest jackpot of all time? P.S. Their $340 million jackpot barely made the top 10.

Powerball or MegaMillions which will grow to 300+million
Yes, it would be interesting to see how MM would publicize this.. I would not mind being the record holder......

which is best--powerball or mega millions
I voted both are great in that they both offer millions of dollars I eventually will win! In fact, I am going to win the Mega Millions jackpot prize tonight (thanks in advance to all who continue to support this game) and then do a double take in winning Powerball tomorrow night (gotta love living in Chicago near Wisconsin with Indiana not too far away). Once I win, I will largely play PB because I want to have a chance to win a record amount regardless of the advertised jackpot...one can only

Lotteries long for 'jackpot fever'
Now I am starting to get aggravated because this has already been stated twice. The average lottery jackpot amount is a function of the odds, not how many people play. The laws of mathematics do not allow the jackpot to break a record every other turn. Geez, please go back to high school if you dont understand this. Our state lotto has never paid out more than a million dollars and averages about $300,000.

The "Will You Be My Date?" System
Lottolaughs, i think this is a great idea, however, we should apply your +1 modification to the core group of the original date we are testing 2/12 and backtest from there moving forward for the rest of the week. Record the results from 2/12,13, and 14. Then we have a full side by side comparison of the 2 method versions for the week. The method and the results are both fixed so we can't cheat lol.....Obviously more # would produce more hits, but im curious, what the ratio from box to st....Just

signing your tickets
I don't sign my tickets for the same reason RJOh mentioned. Although if I won millions, I'd probably consult an attorney immediately for advice. Regarding a Blind Trust, no matter how you claim your money in FL, your name and town of residence is a public record and always mentioned in the news release. While I was making plans to relocate, it would drive me crazy to think I had a piece of paper worth millions that was unprotected. I'm one of those people who go back to make sure I turned o

Sex offender wins $14 million Florida Lotto jackpot
Use to be when a crime was reported concerning someone who had served their country in Viet Nam, it was also mentioned that they were a veteran of Viet Nam. I don't see that much any more because either those guys got too old for anyone to care or the new Iraq vets took their place. I think the media just like to add those extra facts to a story to attract more interest. Jack Whitaker personal problems attracted a lot of national coverage that would have otherwise gone unnoticed had he no
