Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
OK, here is what I decided to try as a crude estimate of long term probability for rollovers. We'll see how it works, if the jackpot continues to roll and is not won.
I rejected all of the data points before and including data point #14, assuming that the post lotto fever jackpots would represent a new exponential function, different than that which so accurately represented the first 14 drawings. For data points 15 and 16 I used the average sales from previous jackpots (the mean of 3 an

Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $212 million
If I try to think logically about jackpot amounts, I come to the conclusion that no matter what the size of the jackpot is, it is huge (to me anyway). Even if Mega Millions was at $12 million, the smallest it can be, and then I split that with someone else and only won $6 million, that would be enough for me. That makes it hard for me to buy an extra ticket when it's really big, because any jackpot is big enough for me, so I don't feel there are any special jackpots to go crazy about.

jackpot lottery pool
Sure, before I retired I was in several lottery pools with my co-workers, some were for every drawing and others were only when the jackpots were large. I have no problem with joining a lottery pool with people I know and see every day but I would never join a pool with strangers.

GA-KY-VA Lose for Life
Match 6 is not only all cash, but once topped $5,000,000. And it just hit 5 figures again, a strange $200,000 jump at that. You can't go wrong with Match 6, big jackpots, and great odds at getting your money back, if not more.

Record Powerball lottery winner gets endorsement offer
There are many ways to not to expose yourself on a large scale. Time and patience is one thing. The rest I wouldn't expose. I might need it myself someday. From what I read in your posts its something you lack. It has been done before with very large jackpots.

NJ Cash 5 - How much closer can you get?
I really like NJ's Cash 5 game. It has had jackpots greater than $1 million, which is ever-so-sweet for a Pick 5 game.

Have the # of members increased?
I was referring to all the big jackpots that cause all the hype and was just curious whether that increases the volume of members, since most people go to the net to check the numbers and search for lotteries. It happened to me. This is how I discovered USAMEGA.COM Just recently we started to see huge jackpot more often. More members to you, both of the sites are great. They beat any state run websites.

Again...I dont know why I bother with PB
I decided to play powerball when the dollars of the annuity are equal or higher than the odds of the jackpot. So I have my printed computer paper that say do not play powerball until the jackpot is $147 million in annuity up on my bedroom wall. I would rather play $20 on higher jackpots than $10 on every jackpot.-weshar75

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
I don't want to see PB and/or MM (the multistate games) to be computerized anytime soon. Besides, I don't like computerized games so they manipulate and generate more revenue. If people win jackpots for computerized drawings, less people will play these games. Computerized drawings hurt the state's lottery report card, so I rather see ball drawings to be fair.
