Strike 1 against Powerball
Barely into August; I certainly can't see why Powerball shouldn't reach $100M+ at least once if not more times yet in '06. For that matter, there's no reason at all why we can't realistically hope for record level jackpots prior to the new year. Combined with the beauty of the Powerplay option, I personally feel that PB is nearly the perfect mega-game.
good luck to all

Systems vs Quick Picks
elmoo168 said: .....but how often have you actually caught all the lottery numbers within the set you wheeled? In the past year my record is: zilch!
The Mass Cash is a 5/35 game. If you eliminate the REPEAT numbers ( by analysis) you`ve got a 5/30 game. Now eliminate the Cold numbers ( that`s a risk) and you`ve got a 5/25 ( or less) game. I would wheel all the numbers and with some filtering, who knows? You might catch them all!

Ohio looking to replace Lot O' Play
No surprise that Ohio is doing this survey. LOP set another record low for a Saturday payout 7/22. LOP started only in October.
The biggest flaw for Super Lotto Plus, LOP, and most likely a replacement game is that Ohio fixes the cash value (for the in-state game, _not_ Mega Millions) at 50% of the annuity, instead of using a floating percentage. Lump-sum winners get stiffed.

US House votes to kill Internet gambling
i'm not going to put my political views here any more.i think it distracts from the lottery topic at hand.about what i posted earlier you have to remember where i'm from and where i was raised.memphis, tennessee doesn't exactly have a good history of race relations.martin luther king was assassinated here in 1968.the world may have changed in other places but here things remain very much frosty.so before you judge me take into account what i've been through and where i am.this is one of the poore

One "sure" hit number coming up!
Back in the good old days 2002 or 2003 we were calling the rare numbers by a different name.
They were called Stimulus Picks .....or the White House Stimulus Picks in honor of George Bush's first term in office and the economic program to stimulate the economy. For some reason I couldn't find any other post concerning the great records the Stimulus numbers set back then...... but it was huge.
Yeap.... they were and are great. They still hold the record for hits from those day

new jersey lottery is being shut down
You got that right Maddog. Everyone should keep in mind that Corzine is on record saying that he is shutting the government down because the NJ House will not grant him a raise in sales tax to 7%. NJ is a state out of control, like a prison run by the inmates. There doesn't seem to be any end to this madness, because almost all the Republicans in this state are really Democrats in disguise, so there will never be any balance. I don't care if you're Democrat or Republican, if there is only on

Why It Is Important to Remain Anonymous.
It won't work in California. Here is what the California Lottery has to say about that:
As a state agency, the California Lottery is subject to public disclosure laws that allow access to certain governmental records. Your name, the name and location of the retailer who sold the winning ticket, the date you won, and the amount of your winnings, including your gross and net installment payments, are matters of public record and are subject to disclosure.
