How quickly do you check your tickets?
Sometimes, I don't buy CA SLP and MM tickets especially when their jackpots aren't in my range system. However, I do check the lottery results the next day and write down the winning numbers on the draw.

Powerball win for single mum
There a quite a bit a differences between Australian American Powerball. For example:Aussie Powerball has a 5/45+1/45 matrix, like the original American Powerball.Aussie Powerball jackpots are always paid in one lump sum.Aussie Powerball offers 2 plays for $1.10 AUD.Aussie Powerball puts less money in the jackpot (22% of sales in Australia vs. 30% of sales in the US).Aussie Powerball does not reward prizes for matching 0+1 or 1+1.

Favorite / Hated Lottery Games
It is ashame that traditional lotto games are dying out in the days of Powerball/Mega Millions. New York, California, and Florida seem to be the last hold-outs for them and while keeping higher jackpots, sometimes higher than PB/MM. Of course I wish Florida would join PB once and for all, but they are worried about the impact of the FL Lotto (meaning they don't want to adapt). NY and CA should be wake up calls for that argument.

Would you play this game?
I think Illinois is doing the right thing and going to a 5/39 system with rollovers. However, I think jackpots should start at $50000 just like the California's Fantasy Five.

Is there lottery books proven effective?
Hi Korean Redneck, Check out Gail Howard's web site. There are dozens of winners who give credit to her for winning their jackpots. She gives some free advice there too! Good luck

California lottery won, MM sales effects?
California MM sales have still been very large during the recent large state lottery run, even though the state lottery's jackpot having remained much larger than the MM jackpots. When California first joined MM, despite having the largest population, NY was usually the largest seller of tickets, but after some time, California began to challenge NY for that distinction. It will be interesting to see how California performs now that its large jackpot has been won and now that MM is the biggest

Hey I just thought of something.....
Perhaps, but I have a hard enough time playing once a month, then waiting for the next month! It is just too tempting to play each week. Plus while you wait for the next month, the large jackpots are gone by then as well. The lottery is simply lose-lose for the most part.

Court may shut down Mega Millions in California
Prior to California joining MegaMillions press releases go out about potential $500,000,000 jackpots. (With that many nmore potential players). As California comes in, numbers are added to top and bottom (look at an old and new play slip), taking the odds from 140:000,000 : 1 to 176:000,000 : 1.If Califonia does leave, the odds will remain jacked up.Not too much different than when the casino sports books used to offer football parlay cards with half-point pointspreads and advertise Ties push o

Woman Cashes Lottery Ticket From 1992
Another reason why overseas lotteries blow away American lotteries, besides the taxes, over inflated annuitized jackpots, small payouts, lack of respect for the player, and now more than a year to collect prizes! I still would rather live here then anywhere!
