Highest State Lottery Jackpot?
Powerball and Mega Millions have had cash jackpots as big as the current Euro Millions jackpot. The fact that Euro Millions is tax free is moot because it will be taxed when the money comes to the US anyway.

mega millions and powerball jackpot poll
How can anyone predict the answer to this poll? With the addition of CA to MM the jackpots have not increased as was suggested by Lottery officials. I'm still waiting for the 500 million jackpot they were predicting when they changed the MM matrix BEFORE CA joined the group. It hasn't happened yet and hasn't even come close. The reason is that the more tickets sold when the jackpot is high, the more likelihood of all combinations being covered. No vote from me but good luck to all that play it.

Powerball lottery sales, starting this morning, going smoothly
I would like games with easier odds and minimum jackpots of $4 million cash after taxes as well, but in reality, no game would sell enough tickets to justify that. If Powerball and Mega Millions got hit every drawing, they'd be out of business, and you can't win a lottery that's out of business.

Love or Money ??
What you're offering here is some kind of pact with the Lotto-Devil where instead of selling one's sole one selects not to have kids or solid relations ...In today's society there are many who constantly fail at relationships thus having no offspring without having won $400M or any large sum of money ... and conversely I bet there are many who have retained good rapport with their spouses and kids even after winning large sums in jackpots ...Your 'proposal' is neither funny nor sensible ... it'

Powerball lottery sales, starting this morning, going smoothly
If more people buy PB tickets, especially in OK, the more likely a PB jackpot grand prize will win sooner. In that case, people will win more smaller jackpots before it hits PB records. I think PB should have increased their matrix odds. Instead of 5/55+1/42, I would have suggested 5/55+1/45 or 5/55+1/50.

5/35-1/25 type jackpot game
If I got 5 dollars minimum for matching the bonus ball because my algos do well with that. If the non-Jackpot prizes were decent; for 1+bonus I want 20 dollars. It sounds a lot like HOT Lotto, which I have not played much and have never won anything on. It would be a better deal than the nj Pick 6.I would like it better if Mega Millions merged with Powerball so I don't have to go to PA to play Powerball. If that happened, jackpots of 1 BILLION would not be unusual!

Would you still play after winning?
Irregardless of a big win, large jackpots would attrack me like a moth to flame. And to those thinking of a harem, bad relationships are far more expensive then playing in the lottery.

the future of mega millions and powerball
Looking at the number of jackpots over the last two years, the current versions seem extremely reasonable and playable. Lots of money coming in and lots going out. Millionaires being made all over the place. What other purpose is there - to compete with Bingo?

the future of mega millions and powerball
Actually, Mega Millions announced its matrix change first, because of California. Powerball just changed its as well so it could compete not only with MM's jackpots, but with its second and third place prizes as well.

Another MM Winner @$15m
That is true, but California, Texas, New York, and even Illinois have their own in-state lotto games that currently have jackpots higher than $15 million and have a lot less combinations than Mega Millions.
