Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
The cash value is not lowered; the annuity value is simply bigger. The cash value is what it is, approximately 30% of sales (although they probably are still taking money out of that to fund the set prize reserve due to the two overwhelming second prize payouts that occurred last year - it must take forever to build up the reserve to support those).

Powerball now behind on cash
US lotteries were annuity-only to support companies that would make money off of players' winnings. This corruption still exists, to a smaller degree (mostly in MA and NY).

Powerball now behind on cash
I stopped paying attention at the annuity a while ago. Why not make it like Euro Millions? Why is everything made only to deceive people? Advertised $195M, but you only get 1/3 when you get down to business. Same thing as read the bottom line

Florida 60% payouts
I'm referring to the PAYOUT percentage of money wagered (which will eventually be 60% in the FL online games), NOT the percentage of the cash value v the annuity. Sorry if I didn't make it clear.

MLB logos on scratch tickets
I feel the best way to get lotteries to change their ways is to call for a boycott of annuity-only prizes and lifetime payouts without cash options. Lotteries seem reluctant to make changes unless sales drop.

powerball cash value
I have an idea - just ignore the annuity values. Mega Millions simply sells more tickets per draw than Powerball, enough to get the same cash jackpot in seven rolls it takes Powerball nine rolls to attain. It's not the MUSL's fault that the Mega Millions population outnumbers the Powerball population by 60 million.

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $117 million
Yes I said this before, false advertising on the lotteries behalf as usual. Many do not realize that $100 million actually means about $30 million after all the taxes, and lump sum payout. I wish they wold actually advertise the REAL amounts for both cash, and annuity options. The lottery gets away with murder, because the shady IRS is in on it all.

MLB logos on scratch tickets
The Red Sox logo will appear on a $5 MA scratch game. The top prize will be a million dollars, which almost certainly will be annuity-only.

Which scratchers do you play?
I stopped buying scratches because quite a few NY tickets are annuity-only. If I did want to buy a scratch ticket, it would be Instant Take Five ($1).
