Mega Millions starting jackpot
I think 500 MIL jackpots will occur as often (maybe twice as often) as the BG's 300+ MIL jackpots of the past.100, 200, 300 MIL jackpots will be much more common however. Some of us will even yawn or sneeze at 100 MIl payouts.Rob

Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are both are in top 25
by Todd Northrop
2018 started with near-record cold sweeping across much of the USA, but the nation's two biggest multi-state games couldn't be hotter.
Powerball and Mega Millions have been rising steadily for the past few weeks, with both games' jackpots now at the point where even casual lottery players start to put ticket-buying on their list of to-dos.
After nobody won Mega Millions on Friday and Powerball on Saturday, t

Which Game to Play or Throw More Money At ?
OK ... of course the game with the best odds ... here's an interesting setup in PA for tonight (Wed) and tomorrow (Thu).
I have always thought the PA Match 6 (6/49) game was a good play for the $2.00 price, compared to the MM and PB.
However, for sometime now the Match 6 game has been getting hit consistently at around $1 million, give or take ... but I have been buying tickets with every drawing ... usually extra tickets, as I did in May, June and July and even before, going back years.

Quick Pick or Pick Your numbers
Out of curiosity, I checked Texas Lotto's jackpot wins from 2017 to this year. There have been 25 jackpots won over that time, (3 this year already).
18 were won by QP or 72%.
7 were won by self pick or 28%.
Here's a breakdown.
2017 = 6 jackpots won. QP-5, SP-1.
2018 = 3 jackpots won. QP-3, SP-0.
2019 = 4 jackpots won. QP-3, SP-1
2020 = 3 jackpots won. QP-1, SP-2.
2021 = 6 jackpots won. QP-4, SP-2.
2022 = 3 jackpots won so far. QP-2, SP-1.
I could have gone back fur

13 State Employees to Share $224 Million Powerball Lottery Jackpot
OK...it's not a debating tactic of mine and I certainly don't think your remarks are stupid. I had a little trouble with your use of the phrase ...whether Powerball has jumped the shark. I don't know what the phrase jumped the shark means. Would you please explain it to me so that we can clear up any misunderstanding I may have.
So let's start over. Simply put my position is:
There were only 3 more jackpots won in 2005 than in 2004. There were only 2 more jackpots won in 200
