Animated Blackjack
Those 44 of you folks who've read this thread might be interested in this. The Microsoft Bicycle Casino software doesn't cut it. It has more bells and whistles than the Bearwear Animated Blackjack game, but there's something wrong with the program to allow you to win far too easily. At the moment I'm roughly half a million bucks ahead of the casino on that game.Go for the Bearwear version if you want realistic blackjack. If you can't win on it you'll never win in a casino. Which is to say, it

Excel FYI
If your like me, you create an excel spread sheet, input the data, sort the data in ascending order and then perform various functions on that data. In the example below, I wanted to know how often a certain value in L1 occurred with a certain value in L2. In this case, how many times did 1-(L1) and 2-(L2) occur together. The answer is as follows:=SUMPRODUCT(--($A$2:$A$9=G2),--($B$2:$B$9=H2)) Microsoft Excel a b c d e f g h i 1 L1 L2 L3 L4 L5 COL L1 COL L2 NO. of Times 2 2 2 2 3 7 1 2 3 3 1

Site Down
Sandy, you're absolutely correct about the worm and how it works. It attacks a Win2000 server, and then once inside, it can spread to any Microsoft box. Please be assured that the Lottery Post servers are, and have been, secure from the worm. The LP servers were never infected at all.The data center sent me an e-mail early this afternoon saying that we should expect the network to go down for another 20 minutes, so that was the second outage, and it was expected. I think they may be dealing

Can't post in Blog or anywhere?
That warning message are there so that you don't get an out-of-control script that hangs your PC. With Lottery Post's editor, it is safe to click yes, and you should in fact click yes. Also, the limiting factor is NOT the Internet connection speed, like cable modem or dial-up, it is only based on the performance of your PC itself. For example, those with an Athlon 64 FX-55 (like me ) will post a complex message faster than someone with a Pentium 4 or Pentium 3.By the way, for anyone considering

Mozilla FireFox, Enigma Browser, IE.
Lantern,I suspect that if you're noticing that much of a speed difference, there may be something wrong with your IE installation. I believe you were one of the people who mentioned that you use a lot of spyware/antivirus/firewall software. You may be using TOO MUCH of that software, and it may be killing performance in IE, which is the browser most of the add-on software focuses on.I use all major browsers, because of the need to test in all environments. I can say from my tests that all bro

winning a jackpot...what would you buy...
Quote: Originally posted by jim695 on November 29, 2004This is an easy one.I'd buy certificates of deposit, commercial mortgage bonds, a buttload of Microsoft (I'm not sure how much that would be, exactly), Coca-Cola (the stock, I mean, not just a 12-pack), commercially-zoned undeveloped real estate, tax-free municipal and government bonds and, if I had anything left over, maybe a candy bar or a pack of gum.Wait... If I won a big jackpot, I would... yes, I'd throw caution to the wind, and I'd bu
