Lets take a poll everyone!!
Rock, Hell I wish 125 people hit the damn pot that is the way it should be in a perfect world... hey! 500 MIL would be awesome but still have not even come close to 500 MIL. They need to jack up the pot a lot more after each drawing, especially considering the amount of states in the pool. JMHO!Mink404Ski

Sat (2/8) WINFALL $3.5 million
Brad: I think the jackpot goes down to the minimum $2 million REGARDLESS of whether anybody hits the jackpot. If there is a winner, he/she/they get or split $5 million/$2.7 million cash. If no jackpot winner, the entire $5 million is added to the lower prizes. Also, what if the jackpot pool falls JUST SHORT of $5 million at the time of the drawing? I think you should look up the official WINFALL rules.

Odds and Quick Picks
BfloTG: Did you know the Lotto prize pool is no more than 40% of sales? That explains the $1 prize for a three-number match. Do you play the Ontario lottery?

Damn those New Yorkers..
The NY Lottery website has a new look. However, it won't encourage me to drive to the nearest convenience store to buy their tickets. The NY Lottery needs to phase out its ANNUITY-ONLY scratch games, and dventually allow Mega Millions/Lotto players to choose cash/annuity AFTER they win. 2003 is the 25th anniversary of NY Lotto; rather than celebrating a quarter century, the NY Lottery should push the state Legislature into allowing the Lotto prize pool to be at least 50% of sales.

Winners lawyer already called WV lottery
Brad: I sure hope they DO choose lump sum, especially if it's a lottery pool. I would think money deposited in a bank would be TEMPORARY because of the $100k limit by the FDIC.

Will Powerball Be Won Tonight?
Brad: There are new rules for Powerball. Once the PB record ~295 million is exceeded (which will happen if no winner tonight), PB rollovers will be limited to $25 million per drawing, with the excess added to a special prize pool. This bonus will be added to all second prizes WHEN Powerball finally is hit.

Powerball winner from Indiana for 9/14
Todd: I hate to correct you, but, AFAIK the rule for unclaimed Powerball jackpots was changed effective with the current vesion of PB (also incluses second prize money in excess of $100k or its multiple if PowerPlay was chosen) so that the jackpot money is given back to all the MUSL members, with each member receiving approximately what they contributed to the jackpot pool through sales. The paragraph _preceding_ the one you went to is obviously outdated; it mentions $1 prizes (the smallest PB

Powerball winner from Indiana for 9/14
The second winner of Powerball for 9/14 has not yet come forward to claim the prize. Is it possible that the winner does not know he won? What happens if no one claims? What will they do with the money? Will it go to the pool?I am just trying to imagine some poor guy put his clothes in the washing machine with 50 million ticket in the pocket...

$2 million rollover in NY Lotto
Curt: How many numbers are in a lotto game means very little to me. If NY Lotto 6/59 had a 50% prize pool, with a $3 prize for matching three numbers, and, the rest of the additional prize money added to the four-number prize, I would not be complaining about NY Lotto (except for the requirement that players must choose cash/annuity _when_ we play.) BTW, Lotto Texas may soon become a 6/59 game, $1-a-play...however, Lotto TX has a _55%_ prize return!

Group/Syndicate Management Software?
Still welcoming any suggestions folks.Had one more suggestion of 'Cracking The Lotto' which does indeed say it offers some Pool Management facilities including printing play slips - I'll check out the demo when I get a chance, but has anyone here tried it?Martin
