The cost of the big prize: Big publicity
I don't really care about publicity too much, I live in a small and boring town. After a week or so I will be forgotten. That is why I actually try to win the lower jackpots, and almost did this time by matching 3 of 5 and the powerball. I got those balls by the balls, and I am not letting go until they pay out enough.

PowerBall odds for 100 tickets?
I have bought whim tickets many times, and have actually gotten good results usually, but no jackpots. I believe it is time I change this trend, and win via using a system, and be rewarded for studying the lottery for years. This would make it more justifiable, and provide more hope to lottery 'players' as opposed to just the occasional 'gambler.'

Powerball Sales
Powerball sales are slow because of Christmas and possibly because of Lottery burnout when the 2nd and 3rd biggest Lottery Jackpots were won on 10/19/05 ($340M-PB) and 11/15/05 ($315M-MM). Who is burned out on the Lottery? NOT ME!

PowerBall odds for 100 tickets?
I seem to read that a lot rundown. It seems people who just go into the store to buy some milk or something and then they decide to buy a few tickets on a whim. end up being the ones who win the big jackpots. lol.

Judge taking CA MM lawsuit into.....
I totally agree with the fact that the winners from previous jackpots should still get paid even if MM ends up being taken out of CA. Hopefully however, Mega Millions ends up staying put.

Ohio Rolling Cash5 rolls to $639,000.00
This size jackpot only happens a few times a year with these odds. Most pick5 games have similar odds but their jackpots don't roll or they hardly ever get over $300,000 before they are won. This game replaced Buckeye5 which was a 5/37 game with a fixed jackpot of $100,000 per winners up to 10 and if there were more than ten winner they shared a million dollars prize.

Texas Lottery Commission chair betting on future
I'm happy TX is going back to the 6/54 game rather than the original 6/50. Sizeable jackpots are still possible with that matrix, especially with fewer prize levels.

Giving out lottery tickets for Christmas?
I've given lottery tickets for years. Never gave one that won over $10.00. I always felt disapointed that they didn't win more. Mostly scratch-offs. But I have given jackpots games too. Usually 1 ticket. Maybe as high as 5 tickets. But always in addition to a regular gift - not in place of.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
Prob988, I think the jackpot will roll. When people win smaller jackpots of 100 million or less on the previous run, I predict the jackpot for Tuesday 12/6 will be 15 million. If it doesn't roll, it will be a first under the new matrix.
