Maryland Lottery to end Lotto game
This is true, but I know that I wouldn't play it if the format changed. I would probably just stick with powerball and use the two bucks on that. As is, they have not changed it so I'm fine. But I really hope they don't get ideas from PA and decided to charge 2 bucks for one play. I think that price of tickets is horrible for smaller jackpots.

Planning On Winning A Jackpot?
Jack Whittaker received a $10 million dollar advance because they did not have all his money for his $111 million, or something like that, lump sum. That was odd to me. How could they not have it? Why even play then? I wonder if that has happened since? If someone wins they damn well better be prepared to pay up what they advertised. They already over-inflate the jackpots way too much as it is.

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
Damn!! I think both PB and MM are using very conservative estimates of their jackpots!! MM should easily sell at least 15 million tickets for Tuesday's drawing!!

$36 Million Powerball Winner ?l
I wonder where that ticket is sitting right now? I hope they step forward soon, I hate unclaimed jackpots even worse than I do winners besides me. They must be living in a cave, or still going through all the legal processes.

Half way there on the match 6 again!
I was speaking of the powerball by the way. Heck I get far better results with one match 6 play every few weeks than powerball ever week! Soon I am going to have to concentrate on just one better odds jackpot. Probably lucky for life. But powerball gets to be so addicting. All jackpots would do me well, but the powerball truly is life altering. I would prefer that, but I will take any for now.

Texas Lottery to change Lotto game back to 6/54 format
Washington state use to have Lotto Plus with the bonus ball and jackpots that would grow $1 million each draw...10 draws and your at $10 million. Then they switched to 6/49 and the jackpot might grow $200,000 or $300,000 per draw. It took over 4 months to get the last jackpot to $6.9 million. It is kind of like watching cheese melt. Mike

Texas Lottery to change Lotto game back to 6/54 format
I agree with reverting Lotto Texas to the 6/54, rather than the 6/50. The latter would not allow big jackpots, which is the case with Lotto South. As for the bonus ball, the problem is that 0+1 does not win, which it does with MM, with or without Megaplier.

Why do you play Multi-state lottery?
Count the number of people playing. Only one can win. The odds of a winner are the same, the odds of you being that winner are dependant on the number of players. The greater the number of jackpots, the greater your chances of being a winner.

Why do you play Multi-state lottery?
My vote is when the jackpot is very high jackpots. For example, the MM jackpot hit 300+ million. My dad decided to buy just $2 in the previous draw. Remember, it might take only $1 to win a huge jackpot. I agree with Chewie's example.

$300 million January jack-pot
There isn't enough time for the jackpots to get to $300 million. If nobody hits either jackpot from now until the last day in january, then it will come close. People will be spending too much on holiday presents and expenses for trips.
