What about the people who win in lottery pools like at work or between friends? They pool all the money, maybe like $100, and then they win. Yes, all it takes is $1. But, the more tickets you buy, the better chance you have of covering all the possibilities.

HOW TO PLAY THE BIG GAME ONLINE
What's up with all of the sites that claim you can buy Big Game Tickets but you have to join some kind of pool or club?I just want to buy myself a few Big Game Tickets but do not live in one of the States that participates in this particular multi-state Lottery. The only site that I have found that looks as if they can do this for me has been down for several days. Any ideas?

Big game fix completed; Powerball will go to 400 million by
Pat, Now you're beginning to catch on...As far as I'm concern, the quick pik game are mostly duds and every now and then a winner may show up but Itruely believe the quick piks are a collective pool of numbers designed forthe purpose of keeping players from conjesting the Big Games 76 million +combinations. In fact you may find that lotteries have many built in safe-guards to avoid outside manipulation. As you know, you can play many, manycombinations and the prizes are just to much even for one winn

No winner
Yes, no winner. I thought the jackpot was also hit since it was previously mentioned in Message Board Posts. Now I am looking forward to having my lottery pool take on the Big Bertha $300M Jackpot! ;-)

And the winner is-The Rock
To Keystone, If you are really interested in having a chance at sharing a peice of the jackpot, you and some of your friends should form a pool and buy some lottery tickets. Therock isn't any different than a lot of people, he has dreams of winning the lottery and his chances aren't any better than anyone else who buys a ticket.Jack

New Lottery Pool Software. Free Download
Cooool. Just what we needed at work. Our pool at work gets complicated because not all the same people are in all the time. We sometimes have problems keeping track of who has what from drawing to drawing. This little program fixed all of that. The price is right too.

Ohio Super Lotto 6/49 for 10/13/2001
These games are usually not worth playing: 1) MA Megabucks 6/42; 2) Mass Millions 6/49. Both games are still ANNUITY-ONLY. 3) NY Lotto 6/59 (2g-$1) Prize pool only 40% of sales. 4) OH Lotto 6/49. Ohio uses different cash values for annuity vs lump-sum winners. 5) PA Super-6 (6/69; 3g-$1) Players CANNOT choose 2/3 of #. 6) Tri-St Megabucks 6/42 (ME-NH-VT); In N.H. play Powerball.

Restraining order placed against Georgia Lottery for $90 mil
Sounds like the lottery pools I was in before I retired. The only time everybody as happy was when nobody in the pool won. The three time we match 5 of 6 for ~$2000 someone was unhappy.

LOOKING FOR MASS LOTTERY MATERIAL
I assume you once lived in Massachusetts, but now live in Florida. If you come back to the Northeast, avoid playing Mass Millions and Mass. Megabucks because the Mass. lottery still requires the jackpot in either game to be paid through an annuity, although Big Game winners can receive a lump sum. Also, avoid (where I live) New York Lotto , because the NY legislature won't allow the prize pool to exceed 40% of sales.
