Mega Millions Sets A New Record
A few years back, jackpots of this size drew a lot of attention. Sales increased dramatically and jackpots had large jumps between draws. For example, the Mega Millions jackpot increased $33 million for this draw. Previously the jackpot had jumped as much as $62 million between draws (from $177 to $239).We are in record territory though for the size of the current Mega Millions jackpot. The cash value of $132 million places this jackpot as the 12th largest jackpot ever. If it rolls again, it wil

Oregon Powerball winner will finally be announced
I don't think there is a limit on how high the jackpots can go, despite rumors that there's some bogus law limiting jackpots of both games to $500 million. What is true is that Powerball has a cap on ROLLOVERS whenever its jackpot reaches a record level; it limits rollovers to $25 million and puts the rest of the cash in a match 5 bonus pool; in fact, the $340 million jackpot produced a match 5 bonus pool of $32 million cash, which was split 49 ways between all the match 5+0 winners, in addit

Mega-Millions
Yes I actually thought about that, but I am very content at breaking that record! I suppose the locations are merely a coincidence, or simply due to the fact that a lot more people are playing in the more populated areas. If 10,000 in a little town rarely ever play, well obviously they have no chance of winning. I just wish I had enough money to play for all of us! Of course if I had that kind of cash, I would not be playing the lottery. Plus it would be MUCH bigger news that I was the first one

mm now 192 mil
Well we haven't even sold over $40 million tickets yet. That is less than a quater of the combinations possible. I have a feeling this run will make it to the $300 million mark. 192, 230, 280, 365. We just need three more rollovers I believe to hit the record. But I don't care I will take the $192 that is offered on Friday. And remember this is only the second jackpot run since we started with the new matrix.Brad

PA Unlucky for Life
In wee little print it states A guaranteed amount- Not sure if its 1 mill or 2. Anything beyond that doesnt have to be paid out. On average a 30 year payout equals 1.08 mill before fed taxes.I prefer the scratch off game- Win for Life with 1k per week for life. More weeks and more cash! Then the $2 isnt so much to surrender for that chance :)Sirbrad- I think we should take up a letter of recommendation to the PA lottery Commission . I'd gladly help get our wonderful State reps to sign it since

Suggestion for LP
I have learned a lot here at LP and have tried to offer as much.I am doing very well being a vtrac watcher.. however it does take time to record each vtrac and up date records with my schedule. It would be WONDERFUL to have the vtracs listed by the results on the result page..This of course would be only needed when checking individual states. The new daily results page is awesome. One can view all the results for pick 3 and pick 4 on the same page in a very neat format. It would be great to

LottoSync needs cloning + development.
The trick is to somehow code those what works at one time might not work at other times, and ... states... in.One example: the shortsum- thing ; if 3 shortsums are out more than 15 draws, play them.Well, without doubles thats 36 numbers. Hopefully they hit and are not going for an all time record...My statistics tell me about shortsums, if one would use them to select the numbers, it is equal to play the ones that are only out maximum 3 draws, instead of using the ones that are on their wey

"Quick Pick" for 10/29
Thanks, Sal.............I'm a big Bears fan too...had to take the Bears hat off this week and don the Sox cap in recognition.I also like the Cubs and thought they would do much better this year, but now it's football and the Central Division NFC is the most competitive and up for grabs as usual...Bears tied for first and technically they're in first based on division record, so maybe it's deja vu all over again....1985, Ditka et. al., but I'm not seeing Superbowl in the crystal ball.>Give me

Why so much greed?
Yes, I'm the guy who set up the computerized drawings petition, and we all need to rally around two things:Hold the line: No more states fall victim to computerized drawings. In addition, for all new lotteries, like Oklahoma and North Caolina, we must ensure that they go with real lottery drawings from day 1. I am happy to say that since day 1 of the petition, not one state has converted to computerized drawings. We must all be vigilant, and not let this ever happen!Roll them back: Get states
