How much did you win on Nov 15 MM?
I spent $46, knowing I would get $2 back and actually got $3 back. No regrets because I plan to do the same if ever the jackpots of MegaMillions or PowerBall go over $300M again. ($42 for PowerBall)

Jackpot winner!
Rollovers, after $40-50M are self defeating. They take money out of the population pool and put it all in one pool. Reducing every ones odds for winning. More lower jackpots.

Post Jackpot-Winner Blues
Actually, this is an incentive to get off this record jackpot kick and get back to normal jackpots. Every one feels better when there are more winners.Besides, as soon as the winners start talking, there will be plenty of fodder to go around.

Proposed Lot 'O Play Amendment....
The way they figure the annuity is just a way for them to inflate the jackpot amount. Higher jackpots mean higher sales and they can do that with just changing the annuitized table. If it was my job to raise as much money as possible I would do the same.Brad

You just won $310,000,000!!
Is that $310,000,000 cash or annuity? Imagine a jackpot getting to that lump sum value! I hope they never add enough balls to have to wait that long, but it would be very intriguing to say the least. I have no doubt there will be billion dollar jackpots one day, inflation always increases everything. Course that will still be nothing compared to Bill Gates and his 50 billion.

Lottery tickets are a "bearer intrument"
Trust me if you have the winning ticket you won't lose it...I don't think that is all-together true. There seems to be quite a few jackpots out there that never get claimed. Just look at some of the news stories posted here. So it can be said that some people do lose their winning tickets or don't check them.

Powerball 1/10th of MM
If you look at the current jackpots, you will see that PB is a puny 1/10th of the current MM Jackpot. Pretty soon, it will be less than that, as MM *hopefully* rolls again on Tues.

Powerball Ice Cold...
I don't think cold is the proper description. It is working as designed. They added the extra balls for a reason. The reason was to keep money out of your pockets. Ooops. Rephrase that. They restructured the game to add additional interest, and to achieve higher jackpots.

OH Lot 'O Play- Drawings
Lot'O Play will never be attractive to those players who like large jackpots and system players who like to pick all their own numbers and Ohio had to know that from the getgo. Over all LOP may be making more money for the state than SLP did, if not it will be replaced within a year.

OK gets Powerball starting 01-14-2006
I'm happy that Oklahoma is going to start PB in 2006. I'm happy that people have to be 18 in OK to buy PB tickets, but not happy that LA people have to be 21 to play PB tickets. I'm glad that 30% of the sales will go to education. Good luck to OK in winning PB jackpots.
