OK gets Powerball starting 01-14-2006
I'm happy that Oklahoma is going to start PB in 2006. I'm happy that people have to be 18 in OK to buy PB tickets, but not happy that LA people have to be 21 to play PB tickets. I'm glad that 30% of the sales will go to education. Good luck to OK in winning PB jackpots.

Annuity/record jackpot
I would say no because if people win huge jackpots, I think they'll choose cash option. Besides, I pick cash option if I ever won a big jackpot. I hope MM gets a big run and breaks their own North American record.

CA SuperLotto Plus
Since the tickets won 15 miles apart, I think two different people share the $26 million jackpot. I think every jackpot winner in CA hasn't won two or more jackpots in CA SLP in my opinion.

Annuity/record jackpot
The vast majority choose cash. And since so few people win huge jackpots like that, we'll only be seeing people making the right choice.

Quickpick or QuickRIP?
Yes I have stated the same fact here myself many times that the only reason there are MORE Jackpot Winners from quick-picks is obviously because more players use Quick-Picks.That's it nothing more it doesn't necessarily mean Quick-Picks are a Better choice because if the majority of players were using systems, software or self-picks then that would account for most Jackpots 'Won .

CA SuperLotto Plus
There were two separate winning tickets Bradly_60. I think two different people won the jackpots. It's strange that the first time since 2002, there were jackpot winners, but they're no 2nd tier [5/5] winners. Also, this is the 2nd time this year, they're no 2nd tier [5/5] winners.

Mistakes
Not to mention the fact that over 70% of the huge jackpots were won via QP. At least that is what the lottery headquarters say.

Winning Coincidences?
JoeinPa, what you are suggesting is that these big jackpots have eyes and that it was determed by someone to make only the rich or the well-off to get richer. I don't know about the other States, but most of the winners here in Maryland have claimed only spending appoximately $3-$5 when they have gone to claim their prizes, and only an extreme few of them I would have put in the well-off catogory.I think that the winning is random and luck plays a big part in it. Good luck on your next purchas

Canada Lotto 649
Sheba,There are many Canadian here but your initial post does not require a comment or response. You are stating a fact that can be easily looked up on any Canadian Lottery web site or here by clicking the jackpots link on the left of this page.Your post is similar to what Cash Only used to post when he would constantly fill threads with the current jackpot amount of certain lotteries.

$500 Million Jackpot!
So help me here. Each of the 2 big jackpots have a limit to the rollover amounts once they reach the record amount, right? In other words, it will not be a cap on the jackpot amount, but a cap on the increments that the jackpot can increase by. I do not find this information on the websites of any state offering PB or MM. Maybe I am not looking at the right link. If someone has it, please send it to me.
