The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I'm thinking about buying more tickets, but the big question for me is how many would I buy?
I posted above that I won 40 bucks (cash) and I did buy one ticket with that money. I still have the other twenty dollar bill in my wallet, so maybe I'll buy another ticket with that. For now I'm keeping my eye on the raffle just to see what happens. Sales have been slow... about 3600 a day, so if they remain slow that'll have some bearing on whether or not I'll buy more.
I'm a fan of raffles..

Probability of winning with multiple tickets
I'm 99.9999% positive I've used that explanation in previous exchanges with Coin Toss, but as you can see the concept is still too elusive. 99.999
Any real crap's dealer could easily explain, even though there are six ways to roll a 7 and three ways to roll a 4 or 10, why the odds are expressed as 2 to 1 .
You must be feeling brave or lucky to bring up reciprocals when we've got people that can't understand that 2/4 and 1/2 are the same thing.
Yep, over five pages ago it was thoro

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Does anybody know if any of the top prize winners of a million dollars in the current raffle will be able to remain anonymous?
I won 40 bucks yesterday. I'm going to spend it on two millionaire raffle tickets. If I was ever so lucky to win one of the top prizes, I'd want to claim it anonymously, but I'm not sure that can happen.
For Florida draw games (Lotto, PB, MM Fantasy5) only winners names of the top prize (a jackpot win) appear in The Top Prize Winners and Retailers Report publishe

$167 million Powerball lottery winner arrested a THIRD TIME after burglarizing home for $12k
You got and won $167 Mill in the PB and you're gonna break into someone's house to steal $12,000?
And your getaway car is a black Porsche. Yeah, that shouldn't be too hard to spot.
Some places, you break into someone's house you get turned into
Sounds like you got lucky twice.

And yes, you DID pass the audition for an episode of World's Dumbest Criminals.

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think what winoneday meant was that it was bad luck for the house. In the long run, the average jackpot won will equal the expected value. In a game like this, a drawing every few days with odds of 1 in 300 million, the long run could be many years.
In a short period of time, the players can be lucky which means the house (MUSL) is unlucky.
Unlike other games like pick 3 or any table game or slot machine in a casino, where more jackpots are good for business because the long run for th

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think I beg to differ on why MM is falling behind.
I wouldn't call it bad luck some fellow just happened to match all the numbers and they got super lucky and win the jackpot.
The intention of these games is for someone to win. I don't think it's upon them to decided as to when someone can win.
If their is only a 1% for someone to win and it's won, it's good news to the winner and I think it's not necessarily bad news to the Lottery.
Will your pool take a break or will you shif

Mega Millions and Powerball Race
I think now that MM has been won, people will put their money on PB since it's the cheaper option of the two. I guess three more draws and PB will be over 100M if not won.
I don't necessary like any of the games, RNG or the Ball Games. I only try my luck on those that I can play, regardless of the mechanism behind the draw.
If I won a PB or MM jackpot, I wouldn't say I won because it's a ball draw game and if I won the MFL jackpot, it won't be because it's a RNG game.
I think I would

Millionaire for Life multi-state lottery game to replace Cash4Life and Lucky for Life in February
I play Lucky for Life regularly and what I like most is the grand prize payout structure. If you take the For Life annuity, it pays out weekly instead of annually. $7k minus taxes so $4.5k ish direct deposited every week is a very good paycheck. I don t know if every state has the same payout structure but in Colorado s official rules it states weekly direct deposits starting from the 2nd check (you get the first check the day you claim it).
I know most people would take the $5.7m lump sum (
