Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
While I appreciate the Lottery Post and Dawn Nettles of the Lottoreport,
everyone who donates their money should have a fair shot at the pot. This is not the case in America. When the people of the District of Columbia went to the press and said if we don't have a winner (meaning the black people who had been supporting their lottery but never won the big money then quess what the pot hit in a black community!) Honest and fairness is not the lottery games of this country. Lie corruption and

Lottery Post member turns up the heat on the Hoosier Lottery
After reviewing a lot of what the Jim's and LosingJeff have said. And doing a little research on my own I think the reputation of the incumbents is the bigger part of the picture. People in Indiana might have high regards for these people and not want to bring them to justice. I thought the governor appointed the people to the lottery commission bringing charges to bear on the acting lottery officials will most likely filter back all the way to the state house. And that group of people will defi

Is any State Run Lottery Honest?
Texas has been known to keep on selling the scratch-off tickets even after all the prizes are gone.
Just as the jackpots are inflated way beyond what the prize money will be.
You say corruption ? What about pre-draws and many sets of balls and machines and all other such manipulations known and also maybe unknown ? What random ?

Is any State Run Lottery Honest?
True, the lottery is a buisness, but honest no it is not. In Texas it took 14 years to finally get a survey done to see who is spending the most money on lottery tickets. The poor and black people of Texas. Who gets the most return on money spent is not this group. They lied for years that the more affluent people won because they spent more money. The secrets of the gaming industry and state lottery operations is very corrupt. The true knowledge of this industry is hidden with trade secre

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
Jim695 thanks for your reply. I know it not easy being diplomatic when your not a diplomat talking to lottery personnel or anyone in government and being confrontational with them is worse than hitting a brick wall with a car. The minute you start questioning their authority to release information or are trying to find answers to question they usually don't get asked or asking repeated questions about a subject matter they refuse to acknowledge results in dead end conversation. Now living here i

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
Jeff you think you lost a lot of money playing lottery numbers so have a lot of us. I live in a state that has ball drawings. I post my picks for Maryland every day except Sundays. I play most of the pick 4's I post and then some. Almost every day I am off by one number either in the midday drawing the evening drawing or both. I play pick 3 but not as much as pick 4. I have big boxes of loosing tickets and more boxes of tickets that I kept separate with the missed by one digit. Like you I felt l

Hoosier Lottery Does It Again
@four4me:I'm not trying to be confrontational here but you might want to read what I said a little closer. To reiterate:1. I asked an official Representative of the Hoosier Lottery if the number 8888 was blocked and why. This is not a receptionist but rather a Field Rep who deals with retailers. This rep said they had no knowledge of blocked numebrs and went on to say they didn't believe it happened. Well clearly it did happen and does happen.2. I sent an e-mail to the Executive Director of

MA lottery definition of "millionaire"
If I were a Republican, which I'm not, I would be very careful about making representations about stretching the truth. Last I looked, there were American soldiers, many of them fine men and women, being blown to bits in service to equally obvious lies. It is of course not a mystery that all lotteries misrepresent what winners actually get. This is completely independent of the politics. In fact that only state that I know of that has actually inflated a jackpot far beyond what was actually j

a lottery website
Michael Brown,Actually, I think you have things a bit reversed:The state lotteries are the LEGAL lotteries that you can play. If you want your friend in Florida to buy some lottery tickets for you, then that's fine, right? We'll that's what a service like Prime Ticket Service does. That's all and good. In fact, there have been several jackpots won by people who bought tickets using lottery services like Prime Ticket Service, and every single person who won using a service was able to legally

Georgia lottery bill would protect education funds
Ralph Reed, a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, on Thursday endorsed Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue's call for a state constitutional amendment that would prevent lottery money from being used for anything except HOPE college scholarships, pre-kindergarten classes and building up financial reserves. Competition to the lottery from surrounding states is increasing, revenues will level off over the long haul, and we need this measure to ensure long-term fiscal solvency, Reed said.Reed's on
