When you play PowerBall, MegaMillions or California Super Lotto Plus, you're playing two combinations from two different pools and you can only wheel numbers from one pool at a time. There are many possible combinations of fives in the one pool and only one combination of one per each number in the other pool so you wheel five numbers from one pool and just pick a bonus number from the other depending on what you think will hit. Amazing implementation of record highs.
I was just reading the FAQ's of various lotto websites thats speaks of powerball. When the jackpot reaches reaches record intervals, the officials implement something called the Match 5 Bonus prize pool. It's crazy; each rollover is an additional twenty five mil which is the max limit they will raise on the jackpot so the rest of the ticket sales go into this pool until someone wins the jp, then the pool is divided equally among all the 5+0 winners. I talking about a player suggesting a partnership by telling many other players that he would give them a share of his winnings if he won. To him it didn't matter if the other players agreed, because since he said that he would share, he expected them to share with him. Lotto pools aren't a bad deal. You just have to be careful to put the rules in writing. I'm running two pools right now. and they each had buy-in deadlines and payment was required in ADVANCE of buying any tickets.
