The RIGGED Jackpot (PB & MM) Computers!
Well, let me first say that most of us are looking for any advantage we can get when it comes to winning a jackpot, so I appreciate your post, Greg. The problem is that the lottery results don't seem to back up your assertions. If the computers are producing a large number of duplicate numbers, then we would quite often see jackpots being won by a large number of people -- like 50 or more. Instead, when someone wins a jackpot with an autopick, you rarely see more than 1 or 2 additional people

Recent MM and PB jackpots a fluke?
Yeah, but historically, sales have increased on runs following enormous jackpots. Remember when Powerball got hit at such low jackpot levels seven times during the months of January through March this year and sales were so pathetic it took eleven rolls just to get over $100 million when it finally did?

Statistics ?
If you're going to spend $100 on a lottery game, the best time to do it is now, with a huge jackpot. Spending $100 might seem like a lot, but many lottery players spend $1000-$2000 a year, so $200-$300 on big jackpots two or three times a year isn't all that ridiculous, as long as you can afford to lose.Just make sure all six numbers aren't exactly the same on every ticket! Unless of course you're confident in your one combination and sure that someone else will win, ensuring you 100 shares of

Recent MM and PB jackpots a fluke?
It also results from people staying away from the lower jackpot values. It's not a sure thing that higher jackpots result in increased annual sales.

Talk about jackpot fatigue
The reason PB, MM, and CA SLP is in a jackpot fatigue because gas prices are in all time high. Also, people are playing less lottery games because the odds are stacked against them about the matrix changes. In fact, my dad and I have stopped playing MM and CA SLP until the jackpots are very high.

Hi, New Lottery player here.
One of the biggest PowerBall jackpots went to a group of workers from Columbus, Ohio who bought their tickets in Indiana before this State had its own multi-state game. They are probably one of the reason Ohio now has MegaMillions. MegaMillions stopped travel to adjacent states to play PowerBall and the BigGame, but I don't think it's going to work when the jackpot is $300M+.

Talk about jackpot fatigue
Unlike the jackpot games, pick3, pick4 and scratch-off games have the same odds of winning about the same prize all the time so once a player become interested in one of these games, he's likely to play it regularly. Most states report these are their most profitable games. Jackpot games appeal varies with their jackpots size. Until that size gets big enough to be covered by the local news, a lot of potential players aren't interested.

Buy every ticket?
Taxes already negate any advantage. The jackpot would need to really grow before the scheme payed off. And with the cap on jackpots when a new record is hit it would have to roll quite a few times to get there. By then ticket sales should surpass the number of possible combinations of numbers drawn which would mean the chances of a split jackpot would be quite high.

Powerball Lottery Jackpot Grows to New Record of $340 Million
I wonder if Jack Whitaker is going to buy a ticket for this draw.Wouldn't that be weird if he did buy some tickets and won again? I know that there have been people who have won multiple jackpots, but it still would be strange.
